Thoughts? Good choice or try something else? Also, thinking about Justified.

I mean...it’s one of the greatest series ever put on TV. And it’s only 10 episodes.

I honestly question someone that hasn’t seen it, so obviously yes.

It is the greatest miniseries of all time. You will wonder why you didn't watch it sooner.

I can hype it up like this all day long and it will have no effect. It is impossible to be let down with this one.

Do it. Do it right now.

I would start with Roots

Then Shogun

Then The Thornbirds

Then North and South

Then Lonesome Dove

Then I, Claudius

Then The Pacific

And finally, Band of Brothers

You know you've got the time.

Great show but not in same league as Band of Brothers

BoB and Lonesome Dove will give you almost 20 hours of quarantine entertainment.

Don’t start it. Because you’ll never get to watch it for a first time again.

I probably do a rewatch twice a year...whenever the war movies are on sometime from Memorial Day to the 4th and then Veterans day.

I don't know why... I've started it twice and have never finished. I've got it on blue ray. I usually get about 3 episodes in and stop. I'll try again.

Lonesome Dove

Speaking of Lonesome Dove... Every time I watch it, I am saddened that this was not two 3.5 hour movies instead of a tv miniseries.

With that cast and that plot, it should have been given to a proper director and cinematographer. Just Think what someone like early day Deakins or Coppola or someone like that could have done with that story.

Michael Cimino was actually the perfect director for it, but there's no way 8n hell he was getting another quality picture after Heavens Gate.

It's still great, but it just feels like a tv movie too often. The acting is too good for the production.

And our book was Lonesome Dove.

The book was great literature.
