Is it bad that I forgot it was on, missed the first 30 min, tuned in and felt like I’d missed nothing. Shows become to blah. I’ll watch but only because if the time I’ve got invested.

I don't care about any character introduced in the last 3-4 seasons. Aaron is ok, Alpha is probably the best of the newer characters. Darryl, Negan, and to a lesser extent Carol are holding this show together now.

I guess they are trying to set up a massive battle and a Carol vs Alpha fight. But nothing they are doing makes any logistical or strategic sense. Outposts or cities should have high walls and hundreds of feet of sight lines with no vegetation encroaching. Every walker should have been killed and burned. No more hordes or random strays. They should be much further along.
Also, why are they putting a 10 year old girl in a battle formation? Why aren't they wearing armor or some kind of protective gear? So many questions..

Yes.
The Satellite that somehow survives re-entry through the Earths atmosphere mostly intact with paint on it is the last straw for me. I know they've jumped the shark several times. I also know it takes place during a "Zombies Apocalypse," so why is the satellite storyline sooo unbelievable?
I even forgot it was on last night and only realized because my DVR is set to record first runs.
I will check this thread from time to time because the only thing of intrigue was if Daryl and Carol actually "run away." I may tune back in if they do. But if that is always going to be "tomorrow," well...What am I saying. I'm done with it.

The Greek phalanx thing was ridiculous and makes no logical sense, especially against about 20 zombies, tops, and especially incorporating a 10 year old girl. I don't think the 300 could have held off the Immortals with 10 year old girls in the phalanx.
Michonne is just annoying now. Anything anyone wants to do, she's screaming orders not to do it. I won't be sorry when she leaves.
Aside from that, I thought it was good. We got a little hint at what they might be able to do with newly found technology, and the Whisperers have been spurred into an attack. It's a 16 episode season, so I wasn't expecting a whole lot of story developments.

The whisperers are the only thing keeping me around.. I’ve defended this show year after year, season after season, but after this completely underwhelming premiere, I can no longer defend this shite

What hint was that? I didn't catch anything other than Michonne saying Eugene had 5 minutes to move the satellite.
The only thing that could save this show is if they put Negan in charge and he leads them in a death match against the Whisperers.

I let FTWD run while I read, thinking it will eventually turn the corner. Literally hours have been spent with the characters yammering about how they want to help people. Nobody wants to watch a show about the Red Cross. Go get in some shite and kick arse you boring idiots.
Last season, FTWD folks made "gas" for the 18-wheelers from crude oil out of the ground. (Why drive an 18-wheeler when fuel is scarce? They're just hauling a few boxes that would fit in an F-150.) They also fixed and flew a large airplane.
Like folks on TWD, FTWD people have mastered charging batteries for their walkie talkies. And they always have power on at their buildings.

That was a controlled training exercise. Still lame, but they're practicing for a real fight against the herd with inter-dispersed whisperers.
