If done right it could be awesome. I mean we are buying into the whole Zombie Apocalypse thing anyway. Not actually killing him but giving the appearance that in Ricks mind- she has a hand in it. I could totally see them writing ghost Lori into the ending somehow. It's been too big of a storyline to just ignore in the finale.

We will find that Ghost Lori is the Governor dressed up as Lori. Carl will find him out and unmask him in the final scene. The Governor will say he would have gotten away with if it hadn't been for the meddling kid. Then, Michonne chops off the Governor's head. Fade to black with some cool music playing. /Scene. Wait for next season.

If I were in the prison group, here's what my proposal would be:
-Round up as many walkers as possible and start loading the prison.
-Keep making molotov cocktails
-Get everything loaded into the cars for easy exit in the middle of the night
-Leave Rick, Darryl, and Michonne behind to make enough commotion so that when the Governor attacks, they think everyone is still there
-Bait them into entering the prison grounds
-Throw molotovs at walkers
-GTFO
And watch the world burn as you lock the exits on the prison and trap them in there.
ETA: To clarify, throw the MCs at the walkers so that you have burning walkers moving around instead of just regular ones. They'll keep trying to attack, while setting everything on fire. Plus, it would make for a cool visual.

He had Rick pegged on that one. Of course, he couldn't go through with it either so maybe he didn't have himself pegged.
With regard to the speculation about how the "war" ends ... I really hope they don't just trade the static situation of the prison for a static situation at Woodbury. I'd like to see them on the road for at least a bit.
And, I'm going to predict the following survivors:
Rick
Carl
Michonne
Tyrese
Darryl
Andrea (hopefully changed after her ordeal)
Milton
Maggie
After that, I don't know. I'd like to see Hershall make it and his younger daughter. But I'd guess some pretty significant players will have to bite the dust. They probably keep Maggie for the sex appeal factor so I'm betting some combination of Hershall, his younger daughter, Carol and Glenn get it.

I knew Merle wasn't gonna do it after he was telling Rick about all the horrible things he's seen Gov do, and what all he'd do to Michonne if the trade was made. That scene right there showed that Merle actually was capable of compassion, at least a little bit.

I'm sure we'll lose at least one of the main group, but I'm not sure who...the only reason I think Glenn could bite it is because of the whole progression with Maggie. They could be setting it up to be all sweet and to get in a last dtich effort to attach yourself to the character so they can shock you with his death. I'm kinda surprised they didn't keep around any ancillary characters to be killed off...like the prisoners and whatnot. I do think Cutty may bite it, or at least most of his crew.
