Don't know what to tell you.
If you're a spirit filled believer, you're not saying those things. Much less publicly. You'd be terrified that'd over shadow your testimony. I'm not judging him, but my perspective is a bit different now. Jesus said you'd know a tree by its fruits.

Honestly, you should let others make those kind of statements about you. Coming from you it sounds like “I am an extremely humble guy, who only wants to do good for others.” I mean if you call yourself humble, are you? and if you say you only want to do good for others, isn’t that an exaggeration? I find those that I think are deeply committed believers, if asked them would say they fail everyday, and there is nothing good
Fair enough. I can see that would come across arrogant. That’s a good admonishment. I’ve been a pastor for 22 years. That doesn’t make me any more committed than a factory worker trying to follow Christ, I just don’t like playing that card because I feel people kind of dismiss your perspective. It would certainly be more accurate to say I daily try to be committed to Christ. Absolutely I fail everyday and there is absolutely no good in me apart from Christ.

I would be so shocked if this is any good. "Serious" Chris Pratt just hasn't worked as a leading man and his other project with Amazon was awful. I wish he'd lean into comedies again.
You're right on the money with this shite. He's not very good in this and for the most part, the show itself isn't very good. A better actor though could propel this into something a little more captivating. There's just no buying Chris Pratt as some elite commando type out for vengeance.

Disagree. Thought he did great.

Wait. Are we talking about language as the determining factor of Christianity with respect to a show about a guy who kills like 50+ people?

Bill Rapier is probably the only answer to this and I'm not even sure it's true as applied to him. It certainly is off the battlefield, but who knows in action.

Has anyone brought up the fact the gunshot is off screen in the last episode?
Seems to me they are intentionally leaving Ben's fate vague in case they want to bring him back.
Just because he's alone on the boat at the end and has him crossed off the list doesn't mean he didn't "kill" him by removing him from his life.

Personal note...Kind of miffed though that he is supposed to be a born-again Christian and is out here cussing. Hollywood and Jesus don't mix. The oil and water eventually separate.
Kills a bunch of people both as a soldier and a vigilante=Fine
Cusses=bad

I’m a Christian and very rarely use the F bomb if at all. I just used it in here the other day TBH, not proud of it. I wouldn’t say I use them sparingly but I can go weeks without even thinking of using profanity.
Profanity for the sake of humor or anger doesn’t bother me. It’s for the use of crassness or insulting somebody that I really am bothered by it.

I adore Chris Pratt but this was such a chore and he was a big problem with it.
Combat scenes were cool. The big problem was the entire rest of the show.

i didn't care for him at the beginning (as somebody who likes Pratt a lot) but he came into it by the end.
we finally finished last night. would recommend, top to bottom. had some pitfalls and slow episodes, but i enjoyed the last 3 a lot.
since we're multiple pages in... a question about the tumor.
earlier when they found it, they said they could operate on it and he'd be ok in 6-9 months. he chose to medicate to finish the list.
obviously there are more books with him, so am i supposed to assume that he had the surgery before or after his last scene with Ben?

There is a good bit of epilogue like reading at the end of the book and it explains that Reece does get the brain surgery and it’s successful (I believe).
I’m assuming they left it open ended on the chance a second season wasn’t greenlit.

I believe the epilogue is a voice mail from a doctor. He says it is benign and he just needs surgery. The surgery comes a bit later.

I couldn’t help but think that the show 1. Completely wasted Taylor Kitsch, and 2. Probably would’ve been better if Kitsch had played Reese.
The story was the biggest problem. I’m a sucker for governmental conspiracy stories but this one was just weak and completely telegraphed from the beginning. The more I watched the more it felt like Chris Pratt executive produced this just so he could LARP as a SEAL.

As for some posters, I honestly have no clue as to what would make them happy.
This was one of the best series I have seen in some time (Season- start to finish)

What other series do you watch regularly?
I’m not particularly difficult to please, but this was a chore to get through. Loved the combat scenes, though. They clearly put a lot of work into that, especially Pratt.

Finished last night. Was hooked from the first episode straight through the end.
Going to buy the books now. Ready for the next series.

I'm on season 2 of Banshee right now, finished "The Boys", just finished "Stranger Things", and this show was great from the start. Not sure how you considered this a chore but it was well done.

Actually going to start that next. Probably be the last person on the planet to do so, but going to start tonight.
