The two best film acting performances of the 21st century are Nick Nolte in Warrior and Mickey Roarke in The Wrestler.

Stallone in Creed was probably the best acting of his career.

... And none of those guys won Oscars. All nominated. None won.

These lists are pure engagement farming

They are always dogshit, by design.

Full disclosure, I didn't read your OP, because I choose not to read whatever dumb shite the list says.

Both performances from The Master deserve to be on there. Like or dislike the movie, there’s no denying the incredible acting from Joaquin Phoenix & PSH

List is shite

correct

No Mel Gibson for What Women Want
No McConaughey for Interstellar
No Vince Vaughn for Wedding Crashers
Neither Ryan Reynolds or Sandra Bullock for The Proposal
#50 for Crowes Gladiator is a big miss

I mean, c'mon Kevin Garnet made the list?

Yep, and they instead have Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy. The performance is awful which is what makes it hilarious and the cast is barely holding it together due to the sloppiness of the script and directing. It’s all improv.

If you wanted to do an improv performance, Sasha Baron Cohen as Borat is the clear answer. With him between Ali G, Borat, and Bruno, I don’t know how Cohen doesn’t break out laughing. Like this one for instance defending teachers having sex with their students.

Couldn’t agree more. Outside of one line when Hoffman can calls that guy a “pig frick” it was boring as hell.

Thank you. Movie should have been on that top 100 list of this century

You shouldn't HAVE to put comedy in there. Gosling for Barbie and Jack Black for School of Rock is ridiculous and i love school of rock

was hoping they'd put The Aviator for Leo. That's his best performance IMO

Am I the only one that hates Mullholland Drive and just never got it at all.

To be fair I was like 21 when this movie came out and have never rewatched it

Daniel Day Lewis and Phillip Seymour Hoffman should have multiple entries in the list. So stupid fricking list.

Literally in the OP.

Pretty much an impossible list to do but agreed that this is the biggest offense.

Well then the premise is dumb and none of #70 and below deserve to be on the list.

I'd love to know which "Ringer Staff" members did the work on this list. If it's that pretentious Sean Fennessey or Amanda Dobbins leading the charge then I think I'll pass on reading the list.

You dont think performances like Gyllenhaal in Nightcrawler, Pattinson in Good Time, Hanks in Castaway should be on the list?

I would have included his performance in “the way way back”. He should have been Oscar nominated for that. I like “moon” and “billboards” but that was his finest hour

Sure, but Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy at #50 do not.
