Those warnings are about setting viewer expectations and while legally the action they showed might fall under different terminology, most reasonable people would consider it a coerced act rather than a purely consensual act.

What I want to know is if those are the rules we're playing by, where was the rape warning for the episode where The Deep got his gills groped? I felt violated for him.

That's a more valid argument than the OP's.

Karma is a bitch. But yeah he did get raped. 50 shades raped too at that.

So he and Dick Grayson have common ground now.

That’s a fantastic point.

While he’s obviously a douche bag and fairly irredeemable from the first episode, you feel bad for the guy by the end of the season.

Much like with "racism" the left will twist and overuse the word rape until it ceases to having any real meaning.

Actually, I think most people are just making jokes about how OP's post sort of comes off like he was looking forward to a graphic rape and got let down by what he actually saw.

The replies to this thread are priceless. I bet y'all are a hoot at parties.

you don’t think rape survivors/sexual assault victims could be triggered, and rightfully so, by that scene, you’ve got a twisted world view.

Lighten up Francis we're talking about a tv show.

You feel better if they just stick to good ol wholesome murder?

SPOILERS

"Let's have a guy graphically turn an innocent girl into mush leaving her boyfriend holding her 2 severed arms and close up of a guy murdering an airplane full of people including a little girl staring right at him as he lasers it."

"Sounds good"

"Maybe we can also imply a female superhero was coerced into giving giving someone head"

"Oh frick you done crossed the line!! Better make up a new rating tag to warn everyone!!"

Eta I noticed there was no rape tag for the graphic popclaw episode.

Which is it snowflakes? Care to Knight for Amazon on that one?

The "rape" tag on the first episode of The Boys
Is that the absolute dumbest thing ever?

While the show itself is dark that "scene" would maybe Garner a pg-13 rating at most.

Were you hoping for more or something? I am kind of lost as to why you would care about this?

(See's it, rape scene hopes skyrocket, #letdown)

Sorry Boys but IT WAS A DEPICTION OF RAPE! Rape in Louisiana and in most states is defined as sexual intercourse of either ORAL, anal or vaginal types in which the person is forced to participate without their consent through actual or THREATS OF violence, or COERCION,or if the person's mental or physical state or age precludes the giving of consent

I took it as sarcasm, personally. You're sarcasm meter is broken, FWIW. You need a tune up.

so as a female with super powers she couldn't have said no becase of a THREAT OF VIOLENCE? i think she could have handled herself just fine.

seems she agreed to give him a blowjob because she wanted to keep her brand new cushy gig.

her mental state was fine.

You're really invested in this not being rape, huh?

You're an idiot. Or you intentionally stopped reading before the word "coercion". The threat didn't have to be a threat of violence.

But then you're just here to lobby for a much narrower definition of rape.
