Is that the absolute dumbest thing ever?

While the show itself is dark that "scene" would maybe Garner a pg-13 rating at most.

Is this what snowflake culture has brought us to?

Wonder what kind of warning Amazon prime would put on Irreversible or Cannibal Holocaust??

You seem to be the only one being a snowflake in this situation.

I don’t think the rape tag was for the scene where he whips it out. That’s certainly sexual harassment, but not rape.

However, the scene later on, where Deep coerces her and she actually goes through with it, is closer to qualifying as rape. I honestly tuned out and missed that scene the first watch through, and thought the tag was overkill. Upon rewatching it I can see why the rating board thought it was applicable.

Just a sign of the times. I got a chuckle from the tag because I'm an a-hole and read the comics as they were coming out. Other people who might have gone through a similar situation as Annie probably wouldn't.

Remember the commercials never really show what the supers get up to.

ETA:

Way back when Preacher was a thing, some comic stores even had a return policy on it. Because apparently the covers with all their bits of nastiness weren't enough to dissuade some people from thinking it was about a holy preacher.

So kind of the same thing. Some parents might let a kid watch strong sexual content because it's superheroes. You put rape in the tags and they got no excuse.

It's like this (and I haven't watched The Boys). If a show doesn't tag anything that's remotely questionable, some parent will lose their **** over how little Timmy was watching the show and saw a rape with no warning.

Complaints about untagged content that's inappropriate for kids is common. They'll always err on the side of caution.

You're upset because there wasn't enough rape for you?

Stick to the dark web. You're desensitized past the point where traditional streaming services will stimulate you.

My sarcasm meter must be broken, cause this seems like an odd thing to say in your so called "snowflake era" and I can't tell if you're being serious.

I’m honestly not sure what’s weirder - you being excited to watch a rape scene or unironically calling your wife “baby”

what do you mean "my" snowflake era? I wonder if all you people bitching about rape got upset at Blazing Saddles. Because The ol' Number 6 was great and so was the Auditions for the Gang.

You don't/didn't tell your wife, "baby, let's put a baby in you?"

Always down for baby making.

I'm just gonna say this.

Saying "oh, that wasn't really a rape" is a high risk statement. You have to know everyone who disagrees with you thinks you might be a little inclined to be a rapist.

Evidently you think he is silly so that makes you even sillier for even making a post about his silly thing to care about.

I pointed out a comment YOU said where you seemed excited about rape. Now you reply by generalizing me with "you people" and bringing up a movie made during an incomparable period of time.

Don't post a thread about a risky topic if you are unable to take the replies.
