Definitely seems like overkill.
The way I understand it, every patient has to be seen by one of the attending physicians, which are Robby and Al-Hashimi. In some cases, as senior resident like Langdon is sufficient.

Hollywood just can't help itself. They just can't go make a show and not go overboard with the messaging. ICE, racism, #metoo, queers, trannys, ...they just have to shove their views on each down the viewer's throat no matter how many times we ask them not to.
wonder if they will ever make an episode where the evil, creepy, black muslim doctor is sexually assaulting little boys while performing examinations. Or where the evil, white nurse poisons babies in the nursery becasue she is a sick twisted liberal dyke with blue hair from a liberal eastern college who has been indoctrinated by her leftist feminist professors ? probably not.
but by God we will get eposide after episode of pap villifying white law enforcement or white males from traditional professions.

Don't recall anyone saying that illegal immigrants might not run from ICE. The discussion was (among other things) whether the portrayal of a stampede of patients and health care workers out of the ER was realistic. Then you said that it was because legal immigrants were also running out in the numbers depicted in the show. But the data that you provided shows that the equivalent of maybe one "legal" (DACA) immigrant got arrested in Pittsburgh in a year...so your data actually supports the conclusion that the depiction in the show was absurdly over the top. Pointing that out is not putting hands over eyes.

I hate that term and rarely use it and get tired of hearing people complain about it on here. But you'd have to be watching this with blinders on if you didn't think this show is woke.

Yea nobody is saying that that is the only scene in the show that is woke. And immigrants running from ICE isn't the ridiculous part of that scene. Not sure how you don't get that. It's the ridiculous way they acted and legit starting a riot and arresting nurses in the ER that was ridiculous and completely unrealistic. I say this not giving two shits about ICE and Trump, it was just a retarded scene and overall the show is woke. Still good, but it is what it is and you'd have to have your head buried in the sand not to admit it.

I'm truly not sure why people are so determined to deny that the Pitt and other shows 100% push a political agenda with the stories they choose to write and how they craft them. If you follow the cultural ebbs and flows, it's pretty easy to spot honestly. Let's rewind the clock back to 2020, you saw many shows including Law and Order, 9-1-1, Grey's Anatomy, the Good Doctor, etc. all feature episodes that portrayed police in a negative light and contained storylines where police either shot or abused a typically sympathetic character, oftentimes a child.
Fast forward to today and look at the Pitt. Notice how positively the episode with Abbott and the injured officer was portrayed? Notice how no one was nervous about those SWAT officers being in the ER with "military style" gear and weapons? Notice how there was no mention of it being a "bad shoot" or any of the storylines you saw back in the BLM time? Why is that? Well, it's because ICE is the hot topic that the left is on right now, not police. Why now do all of these shows suddenly not write about police brutality or bad shoots anymore? Did the problem suddenly go away, bad policing that is?
It's obvious that these plotlines are not just written because they are relevant at the time. They are written to push a narrative to a certain audience and are typically written in an incredibly biased fashion. Idk why people are so determined to deny this.

IKR! Houston restaurants have had tons not show up for work when there were rumors of ICE being anywhere near. Not saying they are detaining people right and left, but there is a LOT of fear in the community of illegals about it. They won't go anywhere if they think there is a possibility ICE will be near.
