Deported or detained? Because many legal residents were detained and released.

dont understand this part. Why cant all other hospitals go to paper charting?
I agree. I believe the other hospital(s) was hacked and the Pitt is only down as a preventative. But like you said why can't the others just do the same

Agree it is. Congress needs to do their fricking job.

I had a list in my head of all the girls I wanted to bone.

Insufferable episode. Reminded me of that liberal wet dream speech of Jeff Bridges in the news show at the very beginning. And this was the watered down scenario as I think the overlords made the writing team go back to the well.

White people are the worst. Good show, but pretty comical at times.
The show is so stupidly beyond woke I decided to look up the creator and some writers
One of the writers is a doctor named Mel Herbert and he's from the conservative country of Australia! And of course shitlib, Wyle.
No wonder the board libs run to defend the show. This board and Money Talk moonlight as TDS boards. I don't understand why a show as great as this can't just focus on the hospital stuff and tone down the virtue/woke nonsense?

Jeff Daniels. But yes, they all burst over that one

I got to disagree here. I actually liked that scene. Jeff Daniels was amazing in that and he was actually a republican in the show fwiw. Nothing wrong with not simply accepting that America is the greatest country in the world and pretend the country doesn't have areas that it can improve upon. That girl was a college student asking a question a 4th grader should be asking, there was reason to go on a rant.
Same creator as The West Wing and although both shows lean left it isn't to the point of being ridiculous and I would actually love for a news station to cover the actual news like that station did on The Newsroom and not the trash you get on CNN and Fox.

You seem to have intentionally ignored that it wasn’t just illegal immigrants who ran from ICE, but also legal staff and legal patient immigrants who knew they were in danger of detention and deportation due to ICE’s recent history.

In the program they stated that legal staff ran as well. I'm not talking about anyone's real life experience. I'm referencing what was actually stated in the show that we are discussing.

Yea I guess I just liked that part. The BP oil spill and Bin Laden death were two of the best episodes imo.

I get that gripe. But it's not like it was 5 guys in there. They had like 40 people in the room and it's kind of their job to have sources. But I get it.

My daughter (no pics) who is a PT at Vandy sees it all and she doesn't work in the ED very often. The posters here don't realize that every single crazy thing that is out in the wild walks into your hospital doors and especially the ED. In fact, crazy, illegal, poor, criminals, etc are more likely to show up there because they are not going to a doctors office and they also have no insurance. Also, in spending my career in hospitals, the actual caregivers, physicians, nurses, etc. really only want to care for their patients. They mostly are not thinking anything political about them. They are just thinking of ICE, police, homelessness, illegal immigrants, etc. as barriers to the care they need to give.

Jeff Daniels***.
Bridges would have been an interesting addition to the Newsroom

It’s not that great without the woke crap, but it’s at least different. But the ever-expanding wokeness now makes it unwatchable. Early roots of wokeness kept expanding to ruin M.A.S.H.’s comedy. All these year’s later, it’s so extreme that it ruins drama too.

There’s almost nothing more inherently political in our society than healthcare. Would be kind of insane to avoid the topics people on this board consider “woke”

Just watched the latest episode. So the hospital is hacked, and the waiting room is overpacked, but you have 3 doctors tending to a rotator cuff on a detainee. ??
