I love this damn show.
Yeah, the wife and I do too.
We just finished Ep 4 that ended with the little P.I. girl in the bathtub. She's putting all the pieces in place.
So here are a couple of things, questions, my wife and I are asking one another.
1 - when Terry was talking to his attorney in the first episode he made a comment, something along the lines of, "there's something else" or "there's one other thing," .... and they cut away and there has not been any mention of it since.
2 - Terry's little girl, the one that has seen El Coco four times ... she's got some special power. Because El Coco feeds off of the family's grief as we already know .... but it's not getting anywhere with her. She's angry so it has no power over her. She running interference for her entire family. But she warned the Ben Mendelsohn character that the boogeyman told her he was scared, or something like that. Which makes me believe Mendelsohn's character is somehow connected in some deeper way because of his grief for the loss of his son.

My wife has read the book but I haven't so I told her to not say anything. Great show. The acting and the way it is shot is really good.
That scene where Terry walks out of the woods with blood all over his mouth in episode 1 or 2 is creepy as shite!
My wife says that the show is already a little different than book and that she hopes the ending is different. Because like all Stephen King books the endings are....meh.
I bought HBO Now just for this show. Keeps you on your toes!

I watched the first two episodes and have watched the next two( I think) On Demand. I
Really am not sure wtf is going on. I read a lot about the importance of Holly’s character, but I’m not sure what she’s really about. Either. Maybe I need to force myself to re-watch episodes 2-3if I can
Get them.

I'm assuming Ralph is going to make the connection from the boys drawing to Terry's daughter's supposed nightmare? She mentioned a man with a droopy face and the photo the kid drew looked like a man with a droopy face.
I've already mentioned it, but the actor who plays Ralph, is so freaking soft spoken and he slurs his words a bit, I have to watch with subtitles bc they dont have him speak up.
"Pausit. Zoom in. Doessthat look likastrath to you?" It doesnt take away from the show and I like his character, but man its annoying.

Kind of sounds a little tipsy or that he’s had a stroke.

The guy has an amazing screen presence that really draws your focus.

His IRL Australian accent is super thick, and he naturally slurs/slobbers it some, so I think when he tries to do a lower tone American accent it just gets muddled in mumbling to try and cover everything else. Just listen to this.

I knew he was a good actor but my goodness he is really bringing it for this show. I liked him in Rogue One.

Have not read the book or ever read anything about the book.
I have a prediction that there is some old being (mush face) that acquires dna through scratches and morphs into people.

I can’t comment. I know nothing.

You say that like thats not one of many explanations.
If thats worthy of a NO WAY then this show sucks and is going to be boring down the stretch cause everyone already knows everything.

I'm not saying it CANT be something else
I'm saying it's the most obvious explanation at this point.

We'll see. I assumed fairly early on that this was some demon since it's based off a King novel and I still find it entertaining even though my assumptions seem to have been accurate... FOR NOW! BUM BUM BUMMMMMMM!

Like Shiftyplus1, I was also a bit bothered about Holly Gibney being a black woman. In the Mr. Mercedes book series, Holly is a quintessential nerdy and/or autistic white woman.
I'm not going to stop watching the show, and I think Cynthia Erivo done well in the role so far, but I'm still conflicted mentally by a character who, as defined by Stephen King, is white.

Its 2020. We just have to get used to social justice casting and try not to let it piss us off as long as the actor does it right

but i gave specific details on how that demon worked. A lot of people guessed that the people were being possessed. Or that evil was passing from one person to another like a virus. Or that there were portals and time travel and shite.
I said no i believe there is a being that is co-opting peoples dna and becoming a copy of them via scratches.
Feels like a fairly specific prediction.

But thats a picture of a Titan eating its own son. Not what you said.
I know they showed that painting in the show but thats one of the most famous paintings of all time and not about what you said.
