It’s funny seeing all you retarded MAGA supporters refuse to acknowledge a great movie because of identity politics.
Rob Schneider should direct a movie about spending a $1T+ in a pointless Iran war. Yall would eat that up

I like Nolan. Does that make you wanna cry? I know it triggers you that majority of the people on these 2 threads thought the movie was average. Hopefully the studio can afford to pay that man back his money for messing up the boat. Struggling for cash?

Movie wasnt good. Last 25 minutes was okay but not worth 3 hours.
5/10 at best. 2 scenes were good thats it.
Spoiler
Odysseus reuniting with his 20 year old hunting dog and Pinnelippe and thats it. Rest of movie was undercooked.
I can say this, movies like Troy and 300(both films) and Braveheart was leagues ahead of the Odyssey

This is why people who like the movie are defending it so much.
Need this to make money to get more movies like this

I watched it last night in a regular imax theater. I stirred the pot for the past few weeks, but I came out thoroughly entertained after leaving.
As someone who’s never read the stories or even familiar with the stories, I wouldn’t be able to tell you what was changed and what wasn’t. I went in completely blind and watch it as if it were an “original” story from Hollywood.
If you can watch it from that perspective instead of being a historian connoisseur, I can see how it’s a great movie for Nolan fans and movie goers.
I don’t think I’ve ever watched a movie this loud before. The cyclops scene was louder than I ever remember the T-Rex scene being from the original Jurassic Park back in the ‘90s.
The ending fight scene reminded me a lot of The Dark Knight Trilogy with the different camera pans, jump cuts and fighting choreography.
Don’t let the outside noise deter you from seeing it in the theater. It’s pretty good. I still believe 8.5/10 is where it’s at though instead of the 97%. It’s a solid flick.

I finally got around to watching it yesterday as well. I watched it in Dolby and the audio was overwhelming at times. So freaking loud. And in a few scenes, I had hard time understanding what anyone was saying. I really wish the studios would step in and get him to stop with this already.
I thought it was solid, not great. It's a lot of movie, so I'll definitely rewatch it once it hits streaming.

Props for being able to go into a movie with an open mind despite stirring the pot prior.
Cyclops scene/scream was for sure the loudest thing I’ve ever heard in a theatre. Just piercing sound that was very fitting for the scene. My dad took his hearing aid out 10 minutes into the film

I rewatched Troy last week to get into Odyssey again and damn was Troy better than I remember.
I don't remember liking the movie when I saw it... but I was also probably 16 when it came out.
Made me wish we got an Odyssey with Sean Bean as the title character because he was the best part of Troy.

I have said this exact thing that the movie is a solid 8-8.5.
The 97% is a result of how RT does their metric IMO.
There will be very few people who would give it below a 5.5 after a honest viewing. Hence can understand 97% being 5.5 or above which is what technically a 97% on RT is.

That just means 97% of critics gave it a fresh rating. You have to look at the actual score, it's an 8.7. Just about the same as you.

It’s funny to see all you poopy pants dementia Biden freaks that can’t accept that the movie just wasn’t good. You throw in your politics to ruin every movie and wonder people make fun of you all the time.
You freaks can’t escape this thread and find your way over to the rings of power thread where your politics ruined a tv show. New blade runner thread where woke dei will ruin another tv show. Super girl, Star Wars etc etc

Troy was a steaming pile of shite that almost all the actors in it hate and regret being in.

I did not have this complaint. I'm wondering if my theater just wasn't as loud as it should have been, or if this is evidence that I'm experiencing some pretty early hearing loss.

Do you think BB III is the TD screen name for Colman Domingo? I think you missed that was a quote.
No, I caught that. I figured it was a thought he shared, otherwise, why post it? He confirmed that in his next post by saying Cracker Barrel is super White. It's a dumb comment, just meant as a casual dig against white people for no particular reason. He might as well be like "duh, Cracker Barrel is full of crackers, herp derp." It's cultural commentary at a retard level.
