Mando will side with Bo and support her.

I think it might be the other way around. I think there’s some definite conflict coming between Armorer, Bo and Mando with Bo and Armorer firmly entrenched on either side of the creed but Mando will come in and unite both sides. Idk if Bo is cool with Mando’s side despite seeing how strong his conviction is. Plus, they’re not going to leave him unable to wield the Dark Saber hanging as a loose thread. Him unable to wield it was a major point in BoB and it’s clear he’s not any better and they made a point to show it again. Him getting better at wielding it is as much a character arc for Mando as it is him bathing in the waters

Except I doubt she keeps her helmet on.

I don't know Katie Sackoff's plans, or how much she costs. But now that we've established "SHE" is Bo Katan, they could swap to a cheaper stuntwoman full-time and just do the voice-overs.
Remember season one, the behinds the scenes stories that came out about the Mando stuntmen. Most of the time, it wasn't Pedro Pascal onscreen.

Sorta the opposite as with Boba Fett, but I think that's because Temuera Morrison wanted to be seen. Sackoff's a voice actress as well, and she is over 40 now. She might rather make a check from a soundstage, and let others do the physical stuff.
BTW, anyone notice that big scar on her forehead? I saw it later in the show, view was from the right, just below the hairline. Is that the character, or the actress?

Regarding her claiming the Darksaber, that gets curious. Mando didn't kill Moff Gideon to claim it, he beat him in combat.
The cyborg beat Mando and was fixing to cook him, and she came and picked it up, and then beat the cyborg. Technically, she has as good a claim as Mando, I would think; unless it's because the cyborg didn't use it against her? But yeah, she clearly wields it better than Mando.

I'm liking her arc here. Like someone else said, they didn't overplay anything, she was just having the blahs and didn't want to do anything anymore. Was going to tell Mando to frick off when the fighter returned, until she saw it was Grogu alone and in trouble. Came in and kicked some arse to save him, and then "well since I'm already here, I guess I will hang around so you don't get lost". That was extremely well done. I liked the little details like her doing absolutely nothing when Mando retrieved the Darksaber, after she rescued him. I watched on that, but clearly they are making her more honorable than what we may have feared after The Rescue.

I’m going to come right out and say this. I don’t give a shite about Bo Katan.

I know some of you are into her because of previous iterations of her in other shows, but I just don’t like her and her entitled, pouty-arse attitude. Instead, I want more, not less, heroics from Mando and Grogu.

Speaking of Bo, does she just awkwardly sit on that throne all day waiting for people to visit?

What if Grogu tames the Mythosaur like he did in season 1?

I think the Mandalorian is actually meaning grogu at the end. He will take in the armor and use the dark saber, so whoever has it or doesn’t now doesn’t matter. It’s ultimately about him becoming who he is supposed to be.

I guessed I missed this somewhere but I think it plays into what I think the conflict will be.

quote:

At some point, Death Watch Warriors saved a child named Din Djarin from an Separatist attack, adopting Djarin as a foundling and part of Death Watch. Kryze would establish a connection to Djarin, but both later forgot each other.

quote:

Djarin subsequently became part of Death Watch. He had a connection to Bo-Katan Kryze, who, at one time, was as second-in-command of Death Watch before becoming leader of a breakaway sect, the Mandalore resistance, that moved away from terrorism. However, Djarin later forgot about her. By the time following the Great Purge of Mandalore, he was part of the Tribe, which operated on the planet Nevarro, and acquired Mandalorian armor. Unknown to Djarin, the Tribe followed the orthodox ways of the Children of the Watch.

So his connection to Mandalore and their true ways is do to Bo and the Death watch saving him. He grew up following the ways but he was he deceived.

Rook Kast if true:

quote:

Years after the Clone Wars ended, joined the Children of the Watch, working as a Mandalorian Armorer and going under the alias The Armorer.

If so she did so in hiding as she was partly responsible for the last Mandalorian Civil War following Maul as Mandalore. This lead to Katan requesting help from the Empire(Galactic Republic) to help rid Maul and Kask. But Katan like many others did not realize the cost as the empire wanted her loyalty. She refused and the Great Purge took place.

In the last episode Mando is discussing history of his people and wants to restore their civilization. Wonder how he is going to feel to learn the Armorer is actually Rook Kast(if that happens) and she is responsible for the destruction on their people.

I took that as she was moping around, depressed, and no longer gave a frick about anything.

Her motivation last season was to take down Moff Gideon and reclaim the Darksaber, and try to restore her people.

They did defeat Gideon, but gave him to the Republic instead of to the Mandalorians for punishment... one missed goal.
Mando defeated Gideon in personal combat and took the Darksaber... so she could not take it unless she then fought and beat Mando. She couldn't do that in any sort of righteous manner, as she was allied with him and he doesn't even WANT to keep it from her. She'd have to fight an unwilling combatant on her own side.
So another missed goal.

So now, she really has no point or purpose, and was sitting around sulking. She didn't want to follow Mando, who himself had no desire to lead; he only wants to 'follow the Way'.
She came back out when Grogu flew in, to tell Mando to leave her the frick alone.

Pretty sure it's the character. I don't recall seeing that same scar on her forehead during Longmire.

I'm starting to wonder if the title,"The Mandalorian", is plural, like The French or The Chinese, referring to both Din & Grogu.

Grogu chose the beskar armor over a lightsaber. Chose to follow a Mandalorian over a Jedi. And Bo Katan refers Din as "Your Dad" when talking to Grogu. Grogu is a Mandalorian.

Plus, she started out scoffing the traditional “way” but you could see her responding to Din reciting the creed walking into the pool.

Then she had a visible shock at seeing the Mythosaur.

I think she finds her religion in the next episode…:especially if the Mythosaur comes out of the pool.

I don't like how the darksaber is heavy for Mando but light as a feather for Bo. Or maybe it's some other type odmf Force.

Someone else said it. But I also believe it was a magical Force that pulled Djin in just so Bo could see the Mythosaur and become a believe.
Also if she leaves her helmet on. She too is redeemed by the cult.

Was a little surprised this wasn't a filler ep or drag-out ep. Solid story and pacing. Really liked the runtime as well. Do I have to watch rebels or clone wars to get the backstories?

Cult leaders often subjugate their followers with rigid dogma, which they in turn do not actually follow.
