Disney has a pretty sweet life when they can get their dick sucked so hard for releasing the exact same movie again.

Not so fast my friend. LINK

Apparently, LK pushes the white supremacist’s racist patriarchy.

quote:

Pride Rock literally looks down upon all of society’s weaker groups — a kind of Trump Tower of the African savanna.

quote:

Doubling down on Disney’s historical obsession with patriarchal monarchies

quote:

With the lions standing in for the ruling class and the “good” herbivores embodying society’s decent, law-abiding citizens, the hyenas transparently represent the black, brown and disabled bodies that are forcefully excluded from this fascist society.

quote:

This foul betrayal of tradition is predictably orchestrated by Scar, the misfit lion whose opportunistic desire to advance the status of minorities echoes the way conservatives speak of liberal politicians, when they act as if compassion is merely opportunism. Simultaneously, his effeminate gestures and lack of interest in heterosexual reproduction mark him as queer, like the vast majority of other villains in Disney’s exclusively heterosexual world. Adding insult to injury, the social outcasts’ rebellion against Mufasa’s autocratic regime is explicitly associated with the imagery of goose-stepping Nazis.

Yeah that's an insane downgrade from Nathan Lane.

Been lucky to have attended a number of world premieres but not sure I've ever heard as much clapping during a movie as I did tonight at #TheLionKing . Was like being at a rock concert. Movie is going to make so much money.

This quote made me think of one of my all time favorite posts on this board:

quote:

Never Say Never- Never would I think I'd say that spending $10 on my Never Say Never ticket was the best value for money of anything I bought this year, but here I am to say that. The movie itself is good. It's an interesting documentary on a kid who is trying to stay a kid in this big world. The music is great. The sequence and timing are superb. But what puts this movie over the top are the fans. That's right. By the end of the movie, 75% of the theater, consisting mostly of early and pre-teen girls were on the ground level with their hands up, screaming and touching the screen as if the movie were a concert. It was exhilarating to be in that number! I confess I too ran down to the floor and began dancing and screaming with the masses. What an awesome movie experience. Movie 6/10 Experience 10/10.

And Google pic:

Yep, hipster douche.

Oh and he writes for Collider, never would have guessed.

Above 90= clearly rigged by SJW

Below a 90= clearly people are tired of SJW stuff forced on us

That’s the way it works on here

So this movie is another mediocre remake. Got it.

This score is surprising to me.....it is really hard to screw this story up. I can only imagine it must be pretty damn bad to technically be ‘rotten’ at the moment.

This review brings up a good point

LINK

It's odd to have ultra-realistic animals talking and singing, when their faces aren't set up for them to speak. With hand drawn animation, you can cheat and make the animals expressive.
I still think this will make a pile of money because of the nostalgia factor and the cast.

The clip on Twitter I saw yesterday did not look good, at all.

In fact, it was fricking horrible. I have a feeling if Mulan shits the bed again, like Lion King/Aladdin bad, then Disney will start rethinking doing live action remakes, might even call off The Little Mermaid

They didn’t change really anything in the story. The biggest issue is the animals look to realistic and they have zero facial emotions in the movie. The movie feels sort of lifeless and loses a lot of a charm because of it. It really had zero reason to be made other than money. It will still make over a billion dollars and that’s really all Disney cares about.

Aladdin has made $925 million and Lion King is probably gonna do just as good or better and you think Disney might call off live action remakes because a few of them have scored in the mid 50's on rotten tomatoes?

I’m just head to rant about how Beyoncé ruins “Can you feel the love tonight” with her constant over singing. She has a great voice but she tries to do way too much. Glover sounded great
