I was in Okinawa and saw it a day before it arrived in the States. I walked out of the theater pissed off. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that it had killed the entire franchise for me.

I'm not one of those who see wokeness everywhere, but if you couldn't tell that you were being preached to by The Last Jedi then you might legitimately have a learning disability.

Fish don't know what water is either.

If you look at the world from a certain perspective you'll be annoyed or puzzled by the notion of woke media content.

A woman with purple hair doesn’t equal woke, it’s shitty writing but nothing was woke. Like I said people like you shout woke so many fricking times it’s literally lost meaning here.

being preached to

Where’s the preachiness?

Rey trains with Luke but Luke doesn’t want to because reasons

Poe and crew think Holdo is a traitor because of her shitty plans which nearly causes a mutiny. Then she’s all like yeah I couldn’t tell you about my real plans because reasons

Leia uses the force somehow to not die in space and Akbar dies also Holdo takes what should have been Akbar’s death

Rose and Finn go off to find some dude on a Casino planet where they learn about how wars are funded and all that goes nowhere but hey we get a quick fight between Finn and Briene from GOT which was underwhelming

Rey is about to be killed but Ben betrays and kills Snoke which means he was pointless also Ben despite killing Snoke and a lot of First Order guys is all like nah I’m still evil. Also Hux is basically nonexistent

Then the scene on the salt planet happens where Rose’s dumbass nearly gets everyone killed because she’s horny and they’re only saved because of Rey and Poe

Also Luke force fights Ben for a minute then dies

Like I said a lot wrong with the film but there’s no preaching really aside from Holdo’s stupid reasons for lying to Poe and the Casino scene but let’s be honest everyone knows about how war profits work

I went into the movie from the perspective of one that saw Star Wars Ep 4 in the theaters as a child and grew up with the movies and the toys.

Went with a few guys from work and stood in line for an hour to see the midnight show. By the time it got to Leia flying thru space we were all vocally booing the film.

The following Monday, my GM, who was also a big fan called us all into the conference room and we broke down everything wrong with the movie on a big dry erase board along with ideas in what they could have done. I think he took a picture of it and emailed it to Disney.

Problems:
-Luke tossing the light sabre.
-Luke being scared of Ben Solo child.
-Leia flying thru space. Should have killed her off there.
-Purple haired bitch being second in charge when we all know it would have been Admial Akbar.
-Killing Akbar off screen and not giving his character the respect it should have.
- No real epic light sabre fight scene with Luke at the end.
-Fine with Luke dieing but they sent him out like a wuss.

What is this movie you crazy arse people are talking about? Y’all are probably the same ones claiming there is a 4th Indiana Jones movie.

I loved Star Wars and thought TFA was decent. So I was excited to see this movie as the meat in the sequel trilogy sandwich.

I’m not a super critical movie goer. I just want to be entertained.

But when Leia went all Superman flying through space, I called bullshite. Just ridiculous. I was done.

It was also pretty absurd how they spent the sequel trilogy building Leia into some kind of super Jedi - insinuating she was more powerful than Luke. All so they could follow Hollywood’s latest trend of portraying women as all powerful and divinely good. The. They drove that home in the Obi Wan series with kid Leia being some kind of intuitive bad arse.

The Last Jedi will most likely be the last Star Wars movie I ever go to in the theater. I have skipped the last two when I would have always gone.

I was with family when viewing and it needed no reflection. I was horrified by the story choices in real time.

There were so many horrible things about the movie it is hard to even rank them.

Still havent seen the ending to this very day. About 3/4 through the movie someone pulled the fire alarm. We got raincheck vouchers to come back but I'd rather pay Not to sit through that abomination again.

Like I was 100% done with Star Wars. After having gone to see the first one in 1977 as a 7 year old, I was done.

I was done after The Force Awakens. Once I saw initial reviews of Last Jedi, I just said "frick it". I'll only watch the original 3 movies. Until they totally unfrick it all like a bad dream and redo the prequels and sequels. No sense in letting them ruin what I hoped they would be. 4 decades of fandom and they shite on it.
I'd love to skin those stupid fricks and piss on their raw flesh. That may be a little over the top, but I grew up wanting to be Luke Skywalker and they turn him into a fat, woke pussy.

Same.

I’m not an obsessive SW fan and generally liked TFA, but TLJ was utterly horrible.

From the opening scene with the crank call and your momma joke, I knew the movie was going to be a shitshow. The your momma joke, Leia flying through space (and surviving), Luke throwing the saber over his shoulder, Snoke being a nobody, Rose’s entire arc, the Casino scene, etc.

One of the worst written movies I’ve ever seen.
