I'm officially done with Marvel. Silver Surfer was one of my favorite characters since I was a kid. He was different from the loud, tough guy types. He was quiet, introspective, and reluctant to use his power. Apparently a male is not allowed to be this type of character.

He's just so classic. So unique even amongst the big hitters. It just sucks.
But look what they did to Namor. We will never get the total aristocratic douchebag that for some reason is tons of fun to watch interact with the rest of the heroes. And that change was for even less of a reason. And was changing a minority into.... another minority? Just leave the characters as they are. There's a reason they lasted for 50+ years.

But it's absurd to reboot the FF and then introduce a variant Silver Surfer and not the original. Make it good, make it watchable, then down the line, in a movie or 2, bring in the female version.

I don't think I can watch this; I'm done with the superhero game until they try to give us the characters as they are known. I can't imagine going with a FEMALE Silver Surfer. It just isn't... right.
