I don't know how anyone can defend Gunn at this point. Peacemaker 2 was one of the worst things I've ever watched and he thought it was a masterpiece

I was so excited about him taking over the DC movies. Apparently I was an idiot.

I feel his pain, Gunn pissed on Superman and Lindelof shite on Green Lantern. Thank goodness Batman hasn’t been subjected to Gunn’s cancer yet and if Ellison does have a single brain cell in that empty rock he calls a head, he’ll never let Gunn touch that character.

And if the trailer is any indication it may be the best thing in this DCU. My 9 yo started crying when the trailer randomly came on and hit her with the face melt

I came here to read opinions about the finale and instead got 2 retards arguing for 5 pages.

This could sum up any thread madking and SEKige post in.

Finished it last night. Meh. Finale was probably the second worst episode of the season.

Can't get over just how dumb the Hal killing was. Hal is literally just having a conversation and wanting to protect her and her manhunter son and boom, let's kill him. Possibly the worst reason ever to kill someone. And after being shot from 5 ft away in the head he just sits down like a kid being told by their parents to sit. An earlier poster took offense to his position and he was right. I gave them the benefit of the doubt he would have been placed in that position not just naturally going there. Yikes.

John, now the protector of earth, gives me no reason to think he will be a good protector. He uncovers the murderer and a manhunter and just lets them go. Not really a great start to your duties. No idea why the cop isn't having any repercussions for murdering his friend and hero.

Couldn't care less about Green Lantern lore because the only super hero stuff I care about is Batman and the Watchmen but if someone were to only watch this show, you'd think manhunters were good. The show gave you no reason to even think that they are bad, much less a threat to the world. The two manhunters were just a decent person grandma and a high school kid that just wants to play football. Not exactly the bad guys you'd expect in a super hero show.

Not everything is the best show in the world and not everything is the worst, this was just ok. Had some good moments and some definite lowlights. Not sure if I'd watch a season 2 but the finale pretty much sealed that I'd never rewatch season 1. Didn't stick the landing.

I agree with all of this. I am not a comic book person or superhero person at all. And I think for that reason I kind of enjoyed the show. I can see why the comic nerds wouldn't like it. The whole manhunter thing was so stupid. We have no idea why they are the enemy or what they are capable of.

Yup just finished it last night. Her killing Hal made literally no sense. They are just having a conversation and he's trying to protect her and her kid and she randomly whips out her gun and shoots him in the head? Like wtf.

Also what was up with the real Green Lantern (Guy) being a complete bitch and letting John walk all over him?

John shows up with a stolen ring (which is uncharged) and a forged lantern and Guy, who should be all powerful and the chosen protector of Earth just bitches out and looks scared of him?

How does that make any sense at all?

I collected Superman and GL for a long, long time; these iterations have been supremely disappointing and I was a big fan of the Guardians trilogy. Also what a waste of good casting Corenswet and Chandler were great picks for Clark and Hal.

It was not great. It was decent with no rewatchability

Then he followed it up with Peacemaker 2 and Supergirl

It was meh.

The nerfed the frick out of him and almost made him a supporting character in his own movie. Also, Hoult's Lex was over the top ridiculous.

MOS was better.

Gunn's Superman movie sucked. Other than GOTG, all of Gunn's stuff is crap.

Nothing wrong with liking it. Movies are subjective. I actually thought it was mediocre when I first saw it in theaters, but it's grown on me since. I still think some scenes are really lame, but it's enjoyable. Peacemaker season 2 was mostly bad. Big step back from the first season

Trolls are hard to ignore sometimes. Especially those that are so dumb that they didn't even watch the show and their goal is to convince people that did watch the show not to like it.

Yeah. I really liked doing “Batman v Superman.” That was really fun. “Justice League” had a lot of issues, and that wasn’t that much fun, frankly. I was glad that Zack [Snyder] was able to get his vision for how he wanted that movie to be out there. That was rewarding. But there was a sense of “Oh, the movie was a little bit too dark or scary, and it lost some of the younger audience.”

It seems to be an ongoing question, and I don’t know the answer: Do you go all the way to a hard-R rating like “Joker”? Or do it like Marvel, which does something broad, unless you’re talking about “Deadpool & Wolverine”?

The interesting thing with the DC characters [comes down] to the legacy of Frank Miller. There seems to be more tension between “Are we doing the grown-up version or the one that’s open to kids?” There’s a risk of being a feathered fish. It’s something they’re still navigating at DC. But I have to say, Kevin Feige is a kind of genius. I can’t think of any producer in the world who can say, “This is what the audience wants,” and be right, except for him.

yeah I was hoping in the finale Noah would show why they're such a threat but nope

and yeah Hal's murder was fricking retarded. It still would sucked but man could they have made it even seem like she had no choice? He was making very logical decisions, no reason to panic, and then bang bullet to the head. So OK you're telling me she went bat shite and just shot him....but then she quickly regains composure and concocts a plan to get Stewart here to investigate the death but really his true mission is to evaluate Noah? fricking stupid.

"ah so you're not going to turn me in"
"well you know we need you around to teach Noah about humanity and compassion"
"You know I literally just shot Hal in the head for no reason at all, right?"

The reddit crowd wants to defend this show; its haters are only mad because they're neanderthals that just want CGI fights. No, my problem was the finale failed to deliver on the season's intrigue . It just sort of ended in predictable fashion.
