Let’s hope this isn’t the new (para)normal for The CW. The U.S. debut of “Wellington Paranormal” settled for a 0.0 rating on Sunday, when ABC ruled the airwaves with its NBA Finals coverage.

Comedy series “Wellington Paranormal” hails from New Zealand. Probably did better over there.

For those of you wondering, the total number of people who watched the premiere was 248,000. A second episode aired and got even worse ratings (180,000).

Kind of off topic but I was thinking about all the CW superhero shows (I know some are still on) vs the streaming service shows (Disney, Amazon, etc).

I wondered if I could even enjoy shows like Arrow and Flash the way I used to if they were airing now going up against shows like Loki and Invincible. The difference in budget is obvious.

They already have 4 seasons made of the show and a strong fan base in its home country of New Zealand

Ratings on the CW don’t really mean a ton for them in terms of keeping the show going

Btw it’s an excellent show. The new episodes drop on HBOMax the following day

It's a spinoff of What We Do In The Shadows, I just think nobody that would be interested knows it's on the CW. FX/Hulu should have bought it to keep it all together.

You can watch it for free, with ads, on the CW app. I checked out the first episode and it wasn't bad. It was a Cops style format following some New Zealand beat cops around who don't believe in the supernatural and are trying to explain away the crazy stuff they're seeing with natural causes.

Superman and Lois is worth watching. And yes, there is a noticeable difference in the level and amount of special effects but the story so far has been quite good.

CW tends to keep their superhero shows going past their expiration dates. Arrow got better towards the end, but Flash and Supergirl lost my interest. Black Lightning couldn't keep me watching and Batwoman was unwatchable. I DVR Legends to binge. It's just stupid fun and it makes me laugh.

Superman and Lois is great (the last episode was amazing). Stargirl was good family fun on DC Universe, hopefully it stays the course on CW.

Superman and Lois is going against the grain in that it is "truth, justice, the American Way", pro-Family, etc. They haven't forced in gay characters, race-swapped, etc.

You missed the "Lex Luthor is black now" thread where this board imploded because a black character was using the name Luthor.

But yeah, they sidestep the black Jimmy Olsen from Supergirl thing by mentioning Jimmy without showing him.

And the way they used "Truth, Justice, and the American Way" without shitting on it was perfect.

He's not though. He's actually John Henry Irons. It was a head fake.

At that point we knew he was from another reality/Earth, and that a white Lex Luthor was already established on the show, but that didn't lower the pitchforks or douse the torches.

I let it play out. I know they had a multiverse with different characters playing different roles like in the Flash with all of the Wells. I don't mind when writers are creative and throw curveballs like that.

I just stumbled on this show. If you like stupid funny, think Reno 911 and Monty Python Search for the Holy Grail, then you'll like this show.

I love how Legends just doesn’t give a frick. They’re the Honey Badger of CW DC shows.

Their high-point for me was when CW had their last, huge, Crisis crossover event, and when they called The Legends, Nate let it go to voicemail so they could sit it out.

Does anyone actually want to talk about this show in here or just the CW?

I gave it a try, but we got bored halfway through the first episode. Not on par with Reno 911 or What We Do in the Shadows.

I would think anyone who would be interested in the show has already streamed it for free. I've already seen the first seasons. Not the greatest stupid/absurd comedy but not many options out and now so Ill watch it when I'm in the mood.
