I think it was more showing Hughie could do what was necessary, since season 1 Butcher has referred to him as "soft" and his dad even referenced how he couldn't put the animal down and let it die. Well he showed he could do the hard thing, kinda foreshadowing if you ask me.

I am enjoying this season a lot. Neuman is hot.

In addition to the pretty crucial development for Hughie, it also confirmed what's going on with butcher. Hughie says something along the lines of "I've seen V mess people up. What happens when you give it to someone who's braindead?" (Eh, probably not the best job quoting, but I'm not turning the episode on again.) Homelander told Butcher his brain is majority black mass. The V ain't right.

Butcher probably V’d up his cancer too.
On other things. Watching old clips of Moriarty from the first season… is depressing.

The whole having Simon Pegg in this series seemed like a complete waste. Not just this season, but he really hasn't done much throughout the whole series.
I'm surprised there's not more comments on Starlight's character arc. She has gone from the girl next door, bright light in a desolate place type character to a real loser. Abortions, old stories of accidentally killing people, being a bully, etc.

“That man is in no shape to frick a sheep” is the funniest line so far this season.
One of the funniest lines of the whole show. Everything about the farm was great. I was waiting for the rabbit he let out to come flying out of nowhere like the one in Monty Python.
Did Starlight's powers not work because she got blood in her from one of the infected animals? Will she get sick next episode?

When do new episodes come out? I thought it was Wednesdays for some reason and I thought I had two to watch. But on Prime it only says I have one (E5). Weird.

Well that was certainly an episode

Just paused it when they called the Federalist Society alt-right. I mean really?

This show is getting pretty bad

It really is. Butcher is the only one really with any plot, politics are all over the show, and the actors seem like they are going through the motions.
Seems like they have a couple of crazy arse scenes each episode that are pretty much the only part of them worth watching.

Yep, the political stuff used to be kind of peripheral and funny, throwing shade at it but the main storylines were always interpersonal and about the characters. Now the politics is the story and it’s treated so seriously they’ve taken the fun out of it. Other stuff like Hughie getting molested is a funny idea but did we need half the episode with unfunny sexual fetish porn? I thought the storyline of Hughie’s dad was very dumb and clunky. I was told it was necessary for Hughie to grow as a character but that’s false as now we see he’s become even more effeminate and pathetic so his dad dying was pointless and just a way to replace that character with a mom. The dialogue is cringe and there are other character problems but it’s just declining rapidly all around.

I'm starting to think the writers of this show have some extremely weird fetishes. Did we really need to spend this entire episode in Tek Knight's dungeon watching their weird shite? I get this show loves to be vulgar for the sake of being vulgar, but at a point it gets to be too much. It wasn't even funny, it didn't advance the plot. It was just there.
