I still dig it
Even with how heavy handed it is, it’s entertaining AF
I roll my eyes at the bullshite, and blow raspberries for the jokes that fall flat, but I’ll LOL multiple times per episode.
The timing of this episode with Trump thinking he’s Jesus two days ago is straight up nuts

The "bad guys" are so much better characters on this show. Love Homelander, Noir, Deep, Soldier Boy all of them. Butcher is fine, but Hughie, Starlight, Frenchie, Kimiko, I've gotten to where I don't like any of them and am cheering for them to lose.

Soldier Boys one liners have been great.
Also, wtf is with this show pulling the punches lately on characters dying. It’s funny because it’s falling into the marvel/dc category on that front when its foundation is being the exact opposite of those worlds. Would’ve been a lot better episode had Homelander killed Ryan.

Yeah, he wakes up when Butcher touches his face. Go re watch it, he keeps his eyes closed though so can see how you might’ve missed it.

People that want to think about how this relates to current politics are silly. I could care less. This season, just 3 episodes in, has been fricking awesome.
Looking forward to Homelander fricking literally everyone over and emerging victorious at the end of this season. Hes a terrible person and I still want him to win. I hope everyone everyone that tries to stop him dies.
The only exception would be Soldier Boy killing him and taking his place as a terrible person and leader of the world.
I still think the actor playing Homelander should win an award. His presence as a god figure around everyone except Soldier Boy is phenomenal.

Without being able to fly, super speed, laser eyes, hyper hearing, etc like Homelander has, I don’t think Soldier Boy could pull off the world domination thing as well as Homelander. But he’s too tough for Homelander to kill.
