I'm hoping that is a fakeout of sorts because it really doesn't jive with the source material at all.
The whole series departed pretty significantly. I doubt they will be sticking to the source material much, pretty much every adapted show does their own thing and just heavily draw from the source material for ideas and world building.

I wonder what that was about? I've only watched the first episode. I don't think I'm spoiling anything when I say I wonder what it is they're calling "rape"? If it's what I think it is. Well that shite ain't frickin' rape. That's making a choice.
Yikes...

pretty sure the rape scene is referring to the alley where Shue beats up the two guys trying to date rape the broad

Eh, most of the other departures were only minor tweaks or not a big deal, that one basically changes everything from the source going forward and the entire motivations for the main characters. Not like I'm going to be like screw this and not watch anymore episodes, but I don't want to see the show go the way of Preacher and suck because it diverges too much from the source materials.
Anyway, they did a great job so far.

Fat Osmond is hilarious in Futureman.
Anyway. Currently on episode 3. Show is bloody brilliant and is True Detective level acting. Everyone is perfect.

This show is just amazing. I've watched 6 episodes so far, and had to force myself to turn it off and wait for today to finish

Well i wondered that too but if i recall correctly, there was no rape warning before that episode. There was a rape warning though before the first episode, where there was no rape at all. Only the blow me or you're out scene. And of course she decides to blow him.

Just watched the first episode. Hooked.

Tossing the rape warning up covers their bases.
I didn't see any onscreen rape as of yet (6 episodes in), and some offscreen "maybe's" during several parts (including shoving the plastic explosives up Translucent's arse).
It's not that big a deal, it doesn't detract from the show at all.

Enjoyed the show, but could have gone without episode 5 bashing Christians and making them all look like bigots. But that’s Seth Rogen for ya.

Six episodes in and IMO this is one of the best Amazon originals to date.

I enjoyed that part. It's an accurate representation of what many of those types of Christians are like.

***Early episode spoiler about the rape scene*****
The senator fella pretty much got raped. He consented to banging a decent looking woman, not a fat bald guy.

Binged it today and loved it. Was expecting something good, not great, but it reeled me in. That scene with Deep was the hardest I've laughed in a long time. He ended up being my favorite character. Black Noir had some great comedic moments himself despite not saying a word. Homelander is a great villain, and the 2nd season is set up to be really interesting.

Any Christian who is against Homosexuality, yet eats shellfish, or wears blended fabrics is a hypocrite for sure.

What an amazing show!!! The trailers looked good, but often trailers can be better than the show. This wasn't the case.
The acting was spot on, the character developments made sense, the plot was on point and had lots of interesting turns... this show hit on all cylinders!
**********SPOILER ALERT!!!**********
I was completely stunned that it wasn't Vought sending the serums out around the world. Having A-Train muling it out of the country was one thing, but to be doing it on Homlander's orders.... wow!
**********END SPOILER ALERT!!!**********
Definitely worth the watch!

That was the only rape i saw. That chick blowing aquaman just to stay in the club wasn't rape, that's for sure.
