We just binged Shameless. I think I'll need to rewatch the first two seasons of The Bear before season 3 starts to rid my brain of Lip.

Jeremy Allen White plays a naturally gifted Chicagoan with family drama that can't seem to get out of his own way.

Which show is that?

Excellent news, chef.

I don't think there was any doubt about this whatsoever.

This is my favorite show, but I hope they stop at Season 4.

Get 3-4 high quality seasons and end it

I anticipate them doing as they did with Reservation Dogs and keeping it a shorter deal.

I appreciate a good show that knows when it’s time.

Fishes was an overhyped mess. Forks is 10x better

That would be the dream. Seems like live action shows can usually get 4 good seasons of material, five is a stretch and 6 is where it turns sour, then anything beyond is just trash.

Fishes set up Forks. You don't have the payoff of Forks without the intensity of Fishes.

That's a stretch.

I agree with this, but Forks is the best episode of the series.

Mulaney was prefect in Fishes though

Forks gets the love because it's seeing a character that's had an arc from an annoying arse bum to beautiful redemption finally "get it". And it's really well done.

Fishes is good, but it's really, really uncomfortable to watch. It's supposed to feel messy because that's what Carmy's family is. It was well-acted by the ensemble. And it gave everyone a peek into why Carmy is the way he is, why the business is the way it is, and it sets up the tension in later episodes behind just getting the restaurant together.
