Sooner or later people are going to be able to make full-length films of a decent quality using just AI.

I didn’t realize how hot everyone was in the BC times

In all seriousness though, this one has me pulled a couple different ways. On one hand, it would be pretty cool to have a full, 50-season series on The Bible, with literally every story from the text told in extended video form. On the other hand, is it sacrilegious to have a non-human entity materialize, and potentially dramatize, the world’s most religious text in video form?

I’m simultaneously experiencing both the excitement of the potential for literally limitless content covering all of the world’s most critical components of humanity, and the fear of the potential betrayal of those core truths that we have long held central to what it means to be human. Which I suppose, when framed in that lens, makes the decision pretty clear…

It’s time to pull the plug on this whole AI thing.

Blasphe….. Man you’re right.

Some of those scenes did look sick.

Also says the videos are generated basically by just inserting the verses themselves, which would take away the “modernizing” and “artistic freedom” of current filmmakers who feel like they have to put their own stamp on everything.

Man, AI is getting fricking SCARY GOOD at this these days. Even looks like it finally figured out human hands in that video.

That’s pretty incredible. It was an easy giveaway that it was AI and wasn’t real though because Jesus isn’t black.

And they better hope AIs have been created that enjoy watching them.

AI is an abomination.

The thing with AI vs any kind of human production, there essentially is no "interpretation" that man has convoluted and twisted over the years.

AI will and does take the text literally, which is how it is actually supposed to be read.

The Bible is literature. Aspects of it are meant to be interpreted as metaphor and historical context is relevant. Taking the text literally without a knowledgeable human interpreter while an interesting approach, is kind of missing the point of studying the Bible imo. At least studying beyond the surface level like a child would study it.
