Really? I thought it was a Madame Web level trailer. It looks bad. Even the choreography that they think looks cool looks fricking terrible.

ok just don’t watch it.

There is nothing this show can be that will make you happy.

Get the frick out of here. I’m not OML of Kaiju, mindlessly babbling about woke shite or posting about Nerdrotic or whoever the frick and complaining about every little thing Disney puts out. I call a spade and a spade. It looks cheap. That’s what pisses me off. I could care less about the female centric nature of the show. I just want a show about undercover Sith killing Jedi to be bad arse.

That trailer was anything but.

Rogue One was good but a little bleak for me.

I think Rogue One is the best non-original trilogy Star Wars movie to date.

Andor was great.

First season of Mandolorian was damned good.

Solo is underrated and suffered from TLJ backlash.

This looks terrible.

and it ended with a party. It didn’t have Han, Luke and Leia holding each other inside the death star as it explodes.

are we all going to sit here and pretend Rogue One isn’t darker than A New Hope?

"This isn't about good for bad, this is about power, and who is allowed to use it"

Said by the POC female to other females

KNowing the directors background and her own comments about the show...that line really stood out to me.

A new hope ended with a medal ceremony. Empire ended with Luke recovering after getting his hand lopped off by his father and nearly dying and Han in carbonite. ROTJ ended with a party...and Vader Anakin's corpse being burned on a pyre after being electrocuted to death by the emperor.

In a movie universe where nearly every major character death has been retconned in some form, having reality and deeper themes of sacrifice was a breath of fresh air.

I'll watch the first two to give it a chance; after that, I'll decide if it's worth continuing to watch or not.

Not going to get my hopes up as Disney just screws the pooch with all things Star Wars (well, almost all things Star Wars) - but if they can get Andor-level quality then I'll stick with it.

after reframing himself and saving luke.

Listen I knew “many rebels died for these plans” going into Rogue One, and it has its place, i just don’t think that was the tone throughout the OT and shouldn’t be the tone for the whole franchise.

But it is a good thing for the franchise to have different tones.

Never said it will be as bad as Madame Web. But Madame Web’s trailer was equally bad. I don’t know how anyone that isn’t retarded can’t see the relation to how bad both trailers were/are

It's a pass for me. From the trailer it's clear they don't like or want people who look like me, so I will pass. Even if I didn't feel this way, there was nothing in that trailer that interested me in the slightest.

Disney stock lost 50% of it's value in the last three years. Spin that however you want. I would be pissed. If the stock doubles in the next year, he will have spent four years making 0.00 gains. I don't think that is what he had in mind.

You know that he owned the stock before three years ago right?

And they just reinstituted their dividend. So even if you bought at the absolute high, you would have made more than 0 gains if it gets back up to that high.

He's right. It's not just what happens in the movie. It's the way that it's presented, cold, grey and edgy. They clearly were going for a Nolan feel and that's what they achieved. The whole feel is just slower and more somber.

It's probably the best of the Disney films, but still not good.
