Lucasfilm has officially announced that The Acolyte is coming out on June 4 on Disney Plus. They have also released the first teaser poster and confirmed that the official trailer is coming out tomorrow.
The release date is definitely interesting, being a Tuesday. Previous reports had said Wednesday, June 5, but does this mean a late-evening release on the 4th, as they did with Ahsoka and their 6pm PT/9pm ET experiment, or is this a Tuesday at midnight case? We will probably find out closer to release. There’s also been word out there that a featurette or a new look at the show will be tied to The Phantom Menace‘s re-release in theaters on May 3, just one month before the show comes out. We’re getting ahead of ourselves here, but that could also be in anticipation of a second trailer being released online a few days later.

I cannot wait for Disney to have to start selling off properties to survive. I cannot believe I would ever say this but I think Star Wars needs to be back in the hands of George Lucas.

I don't care about all of the feminist/political/social shite, but I'm just burned out on Star Wars. We enjoyed Mandalorian, after that it's all just generic Star Wars Lite.
