C’mon man. At least be honest with yourself. If you can’t see 21st century left leaning identity politics in this show, then you have chosen to be blind. When there is official policy to include so many diverse characters, that cannot help but influence story. When certain characters as representative of certain groups have to be written so as to be heroic, victimized, or ennobled because of identity outside the show, it hurts the narrative. It happened with Rey, Reva, and whatever the Asian lady in Boba Fett’s show name was. Other characters make stupid decisions so that these girl bosses can shine. The Mae character has already had a turn that has begun this shiw painting itself into a corner.

Getting absolutely obliterated with bad review on RT and IMDB though so that should tell you a lot. I’ve seen probably 30-40 tik toks about the show in the last 3-4 weeks and not a single one of them has been positive.
