quote:by using the following quote, you ruined your own argument for the way the armor is presented in the show.
Corinthians420
quote:
By specially weaving cortosis fibers within a protective matrix, it was possible to create armor that was both durable and immune to blaster fire.
with emphasis on "weaving cortosis fibers within a protective matrix" the show presents the helmet as plates or sheets of cortosis without mentioning any other materials. so as it is presented in the show the armor would in no way be able to behave the way you're defending it to.
as for Episode Seven - the big flashback the show was alluding to was a complete dud. they gave us the shitty episode three again just from a stupidly different perspective.
Diverse Female Witch #1 (Mother Anasaia) turns into the Star Wars version of a demon smoke monster and a child in her vicinity was doing the same. WTF was any Jedi going to do in that moment? The same thing Sol did. He protected a child, and not even the child he went in there specifically to save, mind you.
Also, horny lesbian (Zabrak witch) was itching for a fight and was instigating the whole thing.
The kid apprentice (whose name escapes me) must've been guilty over something else in his life to impose the silent meditation bubble treatment on himself because all that happened to him was he got mind fricked by Witch #1 (which was a villainous move if I've ever seen one) and then attacked by a Jedi Wookie.
this show thinks it's clever and it isn't. This show thinks it's telling an interesting story and it isn't.
if Disney had hired people who knew and respected the IP, its canon, rules, and lore, we wouldn't get total displays of incompetence such as this.

and that just like, your opinion man. it's all groovy over here. if someone likes the show it's okay.
the people who defend the show like crazy are the ones who get me

But I didn’t say that so you made it up, hence the dishonesty

You continue to call 1 movie 3 movies. The discussion was about ROTS yet you’re continuing to include PM and AOTC in order to misrepresent what me and others were talking about. This is a common practice for you, twisting and outright lying about what other people say.

There is no way this crap is real. It looks like a fan fic movie.

So they simplified something for a tv audience? What a travesty, that's never been done before!
We needed another 30 minute backstory episode of him weaving his armor together

Or maybe 5 minutes explaining it. Not like this show hasn’t wasted multiple episodes and countless scenes on things we already know.

ROTS wasn't bad but it's crazy to put it over ANG or ESB or even R1. Yes Mandalorian is Better than the prequels. Y'all must be really young to think the prequels were great cinema. SW fans weren't happy with them back then.
It wasn't that good.
The Anakin turn was too fast. The fight scene was too long. Padmes death was dumb.
Now the prequels are way way better than the sequels.

Man y'all two need a thunder dome. (Something long time posters remember) pages upon pages in this thread are just you two arguing.

You know you are just making up your own narrative right? No one said Sol is bad or did anything “wrong” in this moment. He clearly still feels bad and guilty about it, and Indara’s point is he put himself in a situation he shouldn’t have been. He absolutely is presented as good, just caring too much, so I don’t know where you are making this up from. It’s also abundantly clear Sol is overestimating the threat of the witches to the children.
Like Jesus Christ your brains can’t handle anything that isn’t purely black and white.

That’s the whole point though.
Sol isn’t a bad guy. Sol was never going to go in there and Order 66 the witches. He thought he was doing the right thing and found out after he wasn’t. He’s a good person which is why he feels bad having done messed up.
Tommen put them in that situation for selfish reasons and he knows he’s why the whole incident happened. He didn’t go there for noble reasons. He wanted to prove the vergence and go home.

I think Sol and Torbin might have been influenced by a dark force on that planet. They were really erratic on that planet or slowly progressing that way towards the end. Perhaps there were Sith on that planet watching over to cause the disaster.

Lucas has already confirmed the chosen one prophecy ended up being true as a result of Anakin’s own actions, and not because of who or what created him.
Maybe I am reading what article you are quoting wrong unless a different one.
Lucus quote was this.
quote:
According to Lucas, how Anakin Skywalker was born “ultimately has no relationship to how he dies,”
The author of the artilcle interpreted to this.
quote:
meaning that the Chosen One prophecy ended up being true as a result of Anakin’s own actions, and not because of who or what created him.
In regard to how Anakin was created in that same article Lucas was quoted as saying this.
quote:
Lucas went on to point out that “It’s left up to the audience to decide”

IE, there is no concrete answer, as I said yesterday.

you know what, that’s totally fair.
you’re right that wasn’t fair of me.
If you say Mandalorian is better than the other prequel movies besides ROTS I will apologize.
