I’ll add that the dance choreography practice was hilarious, one of the better gags of the season.
And I’m happy Sharon is gone. Too bad she came at all, but glad she’s gone. I guess we’ll miss out on another tragic biking accident story though.

Loved the episode
That teacher was hot. Hope Roy starts banging her
The Sam storyline needs to die. He needs to take the offer. Why would Rebecca be so selfish?

Wtf is going on with Beard. He gonna quit.
either Beard or Nate is going to spill it to the press that Lasso is having panic attacks and lied about the stomach issues. Beard might do it tonight while he’s out drunk or something. Nate might do it out of some Wonder Kid spite.
He has a large amount of self loathing. When he spit at his reflection in the mirror you see how much he hates himself.
There’s gonna be a suicide on this show and it might be Nate. He might do it after Ted forgives him.

I actually got a good laugh at Crimm sending a separate text to identify that he was with The Independent.

Man, I thought you guys were being too hard on Nate. Always slighted and perhaps bullied his whole life, I was somewhat sympathetic to his increasingly noxious personality (expecting that in his future story arc we will see him redeem himself).
Then I watched the episode. Wow, what a backstabbing motherf'er. The writers are really sending him to a bad place. This show is all about positivity and redemption, so I expect even Nate will be redeemed by the end of next season, but they are really making this a tough task. Someone suggested a suicide, but I think that's a bit too dark for this show.

On the subject of nate, what he did was a complete bullshite backstabbing move and deserving of the hate he is getting. BUT. At a certain point its frustrating even for me as a viewer to watch Ted at the end of season 2 not know anything about soccer tactics.
The show has gotten away some from the actual sport but at this point part of Teds progression as a character should be him progressing as a coach. Maybe some of this is part of a big reveal where he has been soaking in some knowledge but we will see.
Everyone else has had some progression in their character/improved on their flaws. Ted his the head coach of a team on the verge of promotion part of his progress should be going from a aw shucks motivational guy to someone who combines that with real knowledge of the game.
I go back to the conversation with beard in season 1. Beard hits him with some truth that these guys arent just kids in school. Theres real consequences-promotion relegation, people getting fired, cut etc.

My wife pointed this out. Nate was wrong when he was complaining about not getting credit. He got all the credit earlier in the season. From the media, from Ted, from Roy… and that was happening last year too. He was thrown in the spotlight because if it. So him being pissed about an idea that he may not get credit for was a fabrication of his own.

I will say I’m disappointed with season 2 compared to season 1.
However, to be fair I really don’t think it was realistic for them to follow up season 1 with an equal or better outing.

Yep. This show has a habit of dropping storyline prematurely like the whole sponsor thing and now, seemingly Ted's dad's death. Just all neat and tidy, major issues, all good in an episode or two.
Now they are slipping in pro leftist jokes like the positive crack about socialized medicine or this episode's knock on Trickle Down Economics.
Just another typical TV show. Syrup and bullshite without solid laughs.

Nate is a bitch. If I saw the actor in real life I’d punch him in the Dick for being such a bitch.

my only real complaint about Season 2 is just not really showing any of the soccer. We saw the ties at the beginning, we saw (briefly) them get their arse kicked in Wembley, but very little of them winning
I know it’s not a soccer show anymore but it still doesn’t feel “earned” that they are suddenly playing so well

I can agree with that. I’d enjoy more of the soccer like the first season.

You see, getting promoted is really easy. All you need to do is tie lots of games, lose some others, win maybe 1 game, and then have a couple of good wins at the end of the season. Then you’re in! That’s what I learned from Ted Lasso.

It’s literally how Ted’s dad died. Could easily see it and have it call all those memories back for Ted.
