Gimme a break. Take the political lens off and enjoy life.

non-football episode

I actually got a good laugh at Crimm sending a separate text to identify that he was with The Independent.

The novelty of an American football coach managing a soccer team was definitely part of the draw and intrigue of the first season. Also, the team's relegation and Ted and Rebecca vowing to bring the team back and win the league certainly felt like it was meant to be the setup for something.
Instead, it's season 2 and Ted still hasn't figured out offside.

The plot drivers have definitely changed.
Season one was the success of the team and the struggles involved with Rebecca’s sabotage. Season two has been about the mental health and personal struggles involved with new roles. The team’s success/failure has barely been mentioned except for the first couple episodes.

The main issues I have are the dropping of story lines and lack of true laughs.

Ted Lasso's world will soon look a bit more like the real thing. @mjshrimper reports the show has signed a licensing deal with the Premier League, enabling use of archive footage, logos, kits and even the league trophy.

So I guess we know Richmond is getting promoted.

Are there any more episodes this season? I just finished 11. I prefer Season 1 to this season, but I've still enjoyed this season a lot. They certainly are leaving us guessing on a few major plot lines.
And obligatory frick Nate and his weird gray hair.

For the record I’m not going to let it turn me off the show but why aren’t you saying this to the show writers/producers rather than the person who simply pointed out what they are doing?
This is supposed to be a show that prides itself and is marketed as a show promoting kindness/friendliness and they pick the most divisive thing to routinely make jokes/cuts and always one way? When he makes political quirps it’s always praising a figure on the left or cutting someone on the right. It’s rarer than many other shows but it’s still there.
I would think from a show that makes this the banner
They would leave politics out or at the very least hit both sides equally

Most shows use season one to set up their characters and go light on plot in the first season and then go more with plot in season two and on.
They went plot heavy season one and didn’t really develop the characters all that much other than Rebecca. Season two is heavy on character development and the plot is taking a backseat. Kind of reminds me of what happen with GotG and GotG 2.

Oh good god, everyone wants to be triggered by something.
Would you make this post if they were doing some subtle pro-GOP comments?

Not triggered at all. I wasn’t even the one who pointed it out. I just responded to the person who got upset that someone pointed out there was one sided political jokes in the show which was not an opinion it’s an observation.

If it was completely one sided who knows
As I said originally-I’m not gonna let it turn me off to the show but it’s not an unreasonable thing for someone to point out the one sidedness of the situation when it’s supposed to be a show that prides itself on positivity and bringing people together. That doesn’t make someone purely viewing things in a political lens if the writers themselves are the ones writing the political jokes

It still blows my mind that Rebecca is the Shame Nun from Game of Thrones

Anyone think it drops a couple hours early again?

Always knew Nate was a little shite. Lil prick didn’t have the balls to use his own name. And he tried to snog Keeley. I’ve shat larger shits than that tiny, ungrateful child.
