So, who planned that whole thing out

**Spoilers***
The last scene with him telling Strange "I have a use for you" with everything that led up to it was fricking fantastic.

It was the perfect ending to that episode. Delaney is somehow always two steps ahead, even when it appears he has been stepped, squished and left for dead.
Also: "You are needed urgently downstairs"

He had a vision while they were fricking. That is all I can figure.
Brace got in his head. The news his Mother tried to drown him has morphed, into strangle him, and transferred, to where his sister is now his mother. So his incest vision has now turned into screwing mommy while she strangles him.
Some things even Viagra can't fix.

I was trying to get some explanation for things and went to the sunreddit for the show. Saw an interesting screen shot of what looks like a ghost (of his mother maybe) hanging over James as he is being tortured. I thought it may have been photoshopped. So, I went back to the episode to watch. Sure enough, it was right there. I wonder if it's supposed to be a sign of her protecting him during the torture. The shot was so quick that i have no idea how someone spotted it. I just thought it was interesting.

Interesting. I remember specifically looking at those cages hanging in the background when I watched the show and I didn't catch that.

She wasn't there every time they showed that camera angle. It was only once.

Delaney going all Silence of the Lambs on Dumbarton!
Enjoyed S1, looking forward to S2.

I've seen them throw things in like this in earlier episodes as well. Don't remember what it was, but i remember watching one of the earlier episodes and saw something like that and thought, that's pretty clever.

From what I read the week after the premier, it's supposed to be 3 seasons

Here's to hoping for a season 2

I liked the storyline. I didn't mind the pace because it was almost like reading a book. I think there was some intent there by the producers. Anyway looking forward to season 2. I've also now grown accustomed to TH's grunting delivery so that helps too

***spoilers***
I liked the show generally, but I thought the end of the season was meh. The battle was nice, but something in the story was lacking.
I think the way that sailing ship blasted away from the dock like it had a pair of Evinrudes on it took it down a notch. I try to suspend belief and watch like it's a cartoon, but sometimes please.
And the whole British Army turns out on order of the King to try to kill a guy, but once he is in a boat they just give up? I guess they couldn't be bothered to commandeer a ship. And doesn't the King of England have a have a Navy?

its a solid B show. nothing great
Its not one of those shows where i say "Hell yeah, Taboo is on tonight." Its more like, "oh yeah, I forgot Taboo is on tonight."
I usually get around to it by Friday

That was a WTF moment for certain.

Yea, if anything they were more vulnerable on a ship loaded with gunpowder and set to explode at the first spark the Brits hurled at them.
If there's a second season I hope they feature Stephen Graham's character a bit more.
