No I didn’t. I listed him but he wasn’t a boyfriend. He was a high school friend of Ross that hated Rachel.

Robin Williams and Billy Crystal showing up randomly on Friends once will always be one of my favorites.

Greatest thing about that was it wasn’t planned. They were filming near the Friends set and just walked over to see what was going on. Someone asked them if they wanted to be on the show. Their entire scene was improv’d.

I'm wrapping up the second season of The Bear, and they've had a number of surprise guests. Joel McHale had a small scene as an a-hole chef, Jamie Lee Curtis was the crazy mom, Bob Odenkirk was her (ex?) boyfriend, John Mulaney was a cousin, Olivia Coleman had a nice scene as a big time chef.

Rob Reiner

Edited to add this: Alan Melvin was the most prolific guest star with different roles. In all, he played 8 different characters on the show over its run.

He was also on lots of other sitcoms of that era in guest star appearances. The Phil Silvers Show, Gomer Pyle, Make Room For Daddy, Dick Van Dyke Show and many others from the 50's onward.

Never watched Friends when it ran, thought it was silly then and I still do, but as sitcoms often do, it gets you hooked. I only started watching random episodes on TV the last couple of weeks, they're all 2000s, but seeing someone like Sean Penn just walking in that Pee Wee's Playhouse apartment was surprising
