Kens birthday went about like anyone expected
Really good episode
My man Greg… getting that hot PR chick with the messy ponytail thing. Good for him. That was so cringe when he hit her with the “m’lady stuff” glad he pulled it out .

I think that was the darkest episode of the show’s run.

I'll probably get some downvotes but this season sucks arse. That episode was completely pointless. Kendall had a birthday party in some kind of treehouse, the siblings insulted each other like usual, Kendall pouted at the end about Connor wearing a jacket, the end. Somebody needs to be killed off or something because it's hard not to just play on the phone during this season's episodes

Did anyone watch the behind the episode portion after? Alan Ruck must have torn his rotator cuff so that’s why the wrote him having to wear the jacket the whole time.

I think I’m an episode behind but Greg just told Tom, “ I’m worried about prison. I…I…I feel like because of my physical length I might be the target for all kinds of misadventures”

Ken's birthday episode was gold. Sad there's only two eps left in the season.

A helluva lot more than that happened:
- Kendall broke
- Roman ascended above the rest of the siblings. He’s going to be dangerous with actual confidence (not just self deprecating humor)
- Tom has a false sense of security now that is almost assuredly going to crumble when he does get hit with serious charges in the finale. He’s going to burn the family when it happens (as alluded in this thread by others).
- Greg finally had some confidence. Nice little character development point for him but also gives him a reason to use the documents to bite back if the family tries to make him a scapegoat if/when DOJ fricks them
- Shiv is going to have to make a choice soon and it’s going to end up being Kendall
- Connor is still so naive and inconsequential which probably means he will end up becoming president in season 4
Great set up episode

Season 2, Episode 1: when Kendall is in rehab and his dad rips him out to go be a surrogate on the news shows. He can hardly form sentences on his own other than “I saw their plan and my dad’s plan was better” and he just looks like his dog just died for like 3 episodes straight.

The last two episodes have been awesome. The first five were subpar by the show’s lofty standards.
The meeting of donors was entertaining. They have tried very hard to avoid having a Trump-like figure. “The Raisin” is somewhat like late second term Reagan or if George HW Bush was a decade older when he was in charge.
Jeryd Mencken is basically a Peter Thiel funded candidate like Kris Kobach with a sprinkle of Josh Hawley, but too antagonistic to be Hawley.
The VP and Hispanic congressman are people that you see throughout politics in the past two decades.

As for last night’s episode, I suspect Roman is going to drive Shiv to Kendall.
She hates Mencken but hates having Roman having power even more.
The end of episode 6 was perfect. She tries to be high-minded but ultimately takes a photo with the candidate she despises as long as she is far away from him. It looks like an argument with a middle schooler.
Roman is now much more aggressive with Kendall, clearly the favored child, helped pick the next presidential candidate, and has set up a meeting with Skarsgaard and his father (although the preview makes it look like it will fail).
That’s even more aggravating for Shiv, who views Roman as a glib moron.
Now we are finally getting somewhere.
Also if anyone is familiar with the Cumtown podcast, Kendall’s assistant is the girl who used to date the host who always gets picked on. Also she was the viral troll in the Infowars (I think) interview where she messes with the reporter asking about Venezuela.

I'm not going to deny anything you said, but all of this has been happening since the first few episodes of season 1. Seriously, why am I watching at this point? Hell Logan wasn't even in it, it was a throwaway episode

You're not alone. Everyone has become a caricature. Wash, rinse, repeat. It's become nothing but a cringefest, who can be the most horrifying "human".

Roman was so over the top cartoon villain at the end of the episode. Sure he has always been a dick, but that was overkill by the writers.

Kendall's character just seems weird and out of touch.
The dad offered to buy him out for $2 Billion dollars and he thinks its just mind games? Maybe but its $2B!
I would take the money and go do my own thing. Its clearly his identity is tied into his perceived position within the company.
That birthday party...lots of psychosis in the background apparently.

I think it’s clearly foreshadowed Kendall is going to commit suicide by jumping off of a ledge.

Yeah.. He dismissed that pretty quick.. I woulda jumped on it or at least used it as a starting point for negotiations.

I have to agree with you. I'm just lost now on what the entire point of this show is anymore. The plot just seems to be all over the place. None of the characters are likeable, especially Kendall and Tom. The dialogue is seems like a bunch of "big words" just mushed together to make everyone seem smarter than they are. And what does anyone in this company actually do as far as actual work goes? Seems like they just float around and talk in circles with each other. Something big needs to happen to get things moving along or I might bail soon.

I'd like more Stewey/Sandy storyline for one..

Wasn’t that the point of Kendall telling Roman “you’re not even a real person”?

If you don't like Tom, then you have 0 sense of humor
