He won’t come out on top because that’s just his character in the show. But he served his purpose by making sure Shiv didn’t come out on top.

I don’t think he will come out on top as in CEO but I do believe he will be a “winner” when it is all said and done. He is a bumbling fool but he is a bumbling fool with a full ammo of secrets and information and he learned in season 1 how to play the game.

Agreed. Tom and Roman will have chosen the wrong horse after all the legal maneuvering in the election. They set it up as a risky call and Roman was too gung ho and Tom just wanted to stick it to Shiv. Kendall is sort of the same. Shiv will get dropped by Matteson or double crossed. And Greg is the last man standing.

Conn and his race has been a hysterical plot line, but I don’t know if they ever setup the stakes and the characters well enough. When did this dude become some end of democracy villain? Seemed like a normal election until this episode, and that part kind of came out of nowhere

In his resignation speech, Conner said something to the effect of "the uniparty wins again". So I don't think that he views Menken in the same light as Shiv/Ken's wife, but more of the same-old.

The media does this as well in 2023 but any sort of love for your country is deemed hyper fascism/round up undesirables and throw them into camps type rhetoric

And it’s exactly what shiv is alluding to. And it burns me up.

Yea it wasn't completely out of the blue but they haven't paid much attention to it either

It's just a hard balance to keep as a show. I don't like it when shows hang around too long and suffer for it but you also either have to do that or certain plot points don't get the air time that maybe they should. I'm still in favor of ending it now and I'm not trying to criticize the show it's amazing

I think that is intentional because the main characters don’t actually give a shite who wins. It’s merely another stage of the power struggle.

Is anyone else wondering how in the hell they're going to cram everything that needs to happen to end this show into 2 more episodes?? Next week is the funeral for the most part.. I'm sure other things will be happening but that will eat up a huge chuck of airtime.

Are we sure its only 10 episodes?

I had the same thought. With the funeral next week, how do they wrap up the GoJo deal, the potential blocking of the deal by Menken considering the election results could be drawn out, Gerri’s lawsuit etc etc

Well for one I would assume Gerri isn't actually gonna reach the point of filing suit. Whoever ends up in power will end up taking care of her enough that she leaves it alone

As far as the rest I have faith the writers will wrap it all up fine, we will see

That’s a good point. Hopefully the finale is 2 hours.
