Considering the montage leading up to that, you have to work to read it as anything else.

Fatter?

Yes fatter. She wasn't this huge in season 2 or 3 either.

He was burned/peeled away/broken/etc when 11 sent him to the upside down. It makes sense he is now grotesque and looks like a monster. Would be kind of dumb if he just looked like normal Henry. But they certainly have played up the monster look he has from S4 to S5

Getting burnt by lighting shouldn't turn him into a tree with moving roots and looking all spiky and shite...it looks absurd.

That was my takeaway.

Apparently you have to see the Stranger Things play on Broadway to get a lot of the backstory

Potential spoilers about what it ties in/brings together

Henry was kidnapped by Mindflayer while on trip to Utah or something like that... He was infected, which turned him into what he was to kill his family and why he is scared of the caves Max is in

Brenner injected Henry's blood into the original kids to make them super human

Potential theories from above and other storylines/hints from cast floating out there:

- Vecna is misunderstood and is a good guy (Noah said that in interview)
- Henry/Will related bc Joyce and Daddy Creel went to highschool together as shown on the playbill in Max's flashback
- Henry infected Will like the other kids were by Brenner and then the final scene is Ep4 is him stressing Will out to bring out those superpowers (since they weren't developed in the lab) that will help him defeat the Mindflayer in the end
- The hellfire rolls in Ep1 of S4 shows that 11 can't win, that a 20 roll which is 11+8+1 is the solution to win the battle. So those three come together to win in the end.

Again, all junk thrown out online.

So she's not the same size that she was when she was 13 and 15? She is 5'3, 120 pounds and works out. She is not even remotely fat. She just has an arse and tits now.

I was curious about this and saw a Youtube video that talked about the plays ties to season 5. Apparently there's no official recording of the play, so you'd have to actually go to New York or London to see it. But I found this.

***SPOILERS***

Forbes article

quote:

In The First Shadow, Dr. Brenner reveals that Henry’s psychic abilities trace back to an incident in his childhood in the Nevada desert, when he wandered into a cave on his eighth birthday. The cave contained stolen government technology designed to replicate a World War II experiment that sent a battleship to another dimension.

While missing inside the cave, Henry was pulled into the other dimension and encountered the Mind Flayer for the first time, an experience that altered both his personality and his blood type. The incident left Henry permanently connected to Dimension X, and the trauma he endured in the cave is likely the reason he can no longer return to it.

Co-creator Matt Duffer confirmed to Variety that the cave in The First Shadow is the same one Max and Holly enter, and the same one Henry refuses to go inside.

“When we were working on the play with Kate Trefry, we had Henry’s backstory worked out. There was always a balance that we had to find in terms of how much we were going to put in the play,” he explained, adding that he insisted on saving certain plot details for the Netflix series.

“We were pushing back and saying, ‘Well, we have to wait to reveal that in the show.’ You’ll see, especially as you reach the final episode, there’s more overlap with the play,” he continued.

Sounds like they plan on covering it in the upcoming episodes.

You weren't kidding, the actress who plays Nancy looks absolutely terrible. She was always quite skinny but she looks flat out sickly and alien now. She's either got weird health issues or an eating disorder.

Is that spoilers for future episodes or just spoilers for the first four?

A little of both, I guess.

That actress and her boyfriend (dude who plays Jonathan) are pretty well known drug addicts. So I'd imagine all the coke is catching up to her.

It’s enjoyable for sure, but the second you start to really think about what is happening, the plot holes are glaring.

I'm enjoying it and never considered not finishing it, but a few things annoy me:

1. The exposition is over the top.
2. The repeated close up shot of the demogorgan roaring (especially every time it gets attacked) that isn't remotely intimidating at this point.
3. The 'dramatic' wiping of the blood when Eleven, and now Will, use their powers. I understand using it for Will since this was his first time using it, but it's really not that cool of a shot.

One thing that concerns me is I've read the broadway show (which I have not seen) contradicts some things about Henry/Vecna that we saw in season 4. I really liked those reveals, so I'm a bit nervous about what the changes might mean.

That's all you need to say. Stop, right there. Pretty much everyone would agree, save for fans of Wicked 1 & 2.
