That just seemed unnecessary.

I just wanted to point out that the 100 million pre sale amount includes presold tickets for showtimes through New Years, so that 100 million is definitely not all for the opening weekend

The first one is pretty great. I'd put it only behind TWOK. The second one falls in the middle of the Star Trek pack.

Interesting. But I am sure the majority are open weekend. Who is buying presale not for opening weekend?

The worst things I've heard is that it mirrors ANH too much. But still, even if it does, I'm okay with that, as long as the next two are different from Empire and Jedi. And I think that will be the case with Rian Johnson writing them.

I hope anyway.

"A glib facsimile. It's dull because it's achingly unoriginal."

Sounds exactly like a JJ movie.

Why the hell could no one write a new script with all those Star Wars books out there.

This is just another god-damn remake like all the other Hollywood remakes.

That's probably the most spot-on review. Because it totally explains JJ Abrams style, ability and movies. He's not an original or creative enough. He copies and exploits and does to the extreme well-worn techniques and ideas.

I was positive it was going to give Jurrasic World a run regardless of how good it was.

But with it supposedly being this good, I think it has a chance to overtake Titanic domestically. It still probably won't touch Avatar overall, but it will gross at least 1.5 Billion worldwide

JJ Abrams made the serious Star Trek franchise totally glib. Saved by the Bell in space.

...and unoriginal and now apparently he has done it to Star Wars franchise. Three's Company in space.

JJ has made a few good movies with the Star Trek films. I mean, have you seen the shite shows that have been the average Star Trek film for the past 30 years. What was that one about saving the whales! LOL Yep, that is a lot of expectation to live up too.

Even if he is introducing a new set of heros in the ANH model, I bet there is a different plot twist and I bet it will be a great sci-fi action movie.
