99%. Two negative. 1 from Salon. The other gave it 2/4 stars. The complaints seem to be it's too similar to A New Hope.

If that's the biggest negative, this film will be a classic

Thats actually a positive. IF that retarded magazine says something is bad it must be great. That or they are seriously running with the "starwars is racist" joke.

OK. I was skeptical that it would break Jurassic World's opening weekend box office record. However, with the hype AND universal acclaim, this could be the movie that obliterates every record. I mean Avatar was released around the same time of the year, without this much hype and acclaim.

a few of the reviews

TFA isnt just one of the finest movies of 2015, it's the best movie of the year, full stop

TFA re-awoke my love of the first movie and turned my inner fanboy into my outer fanboy. There are very few films wich leave me facially exhausted after ginning for 135 minutes, but this is one

Michael Smith-Tulsa World
I've searched my heart and i know it to be true, for me at least: Star Wars:TFA is my favorite of the franchise. Episode VII is 'Star Wars No. 1'

TFA leaves us wanting more, which is exactly what it should do. Impressive Abrams, most impressive

i think this guy needs to take a breath and calm down a bit, no way this can true

Star Wars:TFA might just be the best film of the last 30 years or so...

I'm holding my excitement.

This is very good news, but if j remember correctly the phantom menace got good reviews too

Not saying this will be even close to that, just saying I don't want to get my hopes up too much. I'm very encouraged so far though

The Phantom Menace is at 56%. It may have been a bit more positive at the time, but it was not even close to this acclaim.

I still doubt it breaks that record simply due to the timing of the release. This movie has Christmas budgets going against it. The current record for best December open is a mere $84M. Even Avatar only did $77M it's opening weekend. It grossed so high due to great word of mouth and utter void of competition for 2 months.

I think $150M opening weekend is likely, which would basically double the December record but would fall well short of Jurassic World's $210M.
