Sorry to disappoint everyone, but I really didn't care for the new Star Wars movie all that much. I mean it was OK, but there were a lot of things I didn't like. I didn't really care for the Finn or Poe characters, and the new villain (Kylo Ren), who was a combination of Anton Chigurh and Marilyn Manson sans makeup, wasn't menacing at all -- in fact, he was a giant pussy. Anytime I feel like I could bitch-slap the villain in the movie without hesitation, there's a problem. There were too many weak attempts at humor in the first 30 minutes of the film for my taste, and worst of all, there was no Boba Fett. I did like Rey, Luke looked pretty cool, and Chewbacca and Han were awesome as always (especially Chewie), but I don't know... I just left with a feeling of "meh." Just my view from the Dark Side.

You aren't allowed to not like it.

Now you're a sexist, racist, anti-Semite.

Saw it this weekend, my main complaint was with Finn picking up the lightsaber and using it. Despite the fact that we know that regulars can wield and use the lightsaber, the lightsaber is one with the force, and it optimized only when someone using the force wields it. The whole thing with him using it was fricking retarded.

Unless, maybe he's Samuel L. Jackson's bastard grandson or something and he also has the Force.

Rey being so adpet with the force was slightly unbelievable too.

There were points that paralled the old movies that you just couldn't help but rolling your eyes at.

Yes, but Finn wasn't kicking butt with it. On the contrary, both the stormtrooper and Kylo ren lit him up. I had no issues with those scenes.

Kylo Ren lost a light saber duel to a girl who had never even used a saber before -- yet he was supposedly trained by Luke? Come on now.

I agree with you on Finn, but Rey really seemed like she made the movie for me. I expect her to be Luke's daughter before its all said and done, and I do believe she knew more than she put on during the movie. After her "awakening" from touching luke's saber, she used force persuasion on James Bond(storm trooper guarding her), as well as force move, and for her skills with a lightsaber, she has spent most of her adult life defending herself with a metal staff. For her to finally use a lightsaber has to be child's play at this point. It's a superior "staff" weapon in every way.

Reminded me of this guy.

And what do you know? When I googled him, a bunch of Kylo pictures came up the search as well.

Am I the only one who got the impression that Finn might be force sensitive?

Personally I got the impression that he wasn't. He gets his arse handed to him by another Stormtrooper and gets absolutely manhandled by an injured Ren.

To be fair, he had just gotten shot broadside with Chewie's crossbow, which we had learned earlier in the movie is roughly as powerful as a gunnery station on a capital ship. Mother fricker was coughing up blood and bleeding out of his sleeve.

Rey raised herself and showed her skill fighting multiple creatures with her staff. She was a badass who feared nothing. PLUS she's a force strong skywalker. Ben was a chickenshit who admitted that he was. He was injured when he was fighting her. Rey winning wasn't that unbelievable considering all of that.

Soon all the hipsters will become loud in their hate for the movie.

When most people like a movie, there are people who feel obligated to dislike it.

Just wait and you will be joined by them.

Until then, quit being a little bitch because you don't understand the backlash you are getting for flaming an almost universally enjoyed new film.

I doubt that he is.

From the novelization of the film, during the fight between Kylo and Finn - " "Advancing relentlessly, he (Kylo) was driven by something that Finn could not even sense, far less counter."

Additionally, the film throws out a few subtle hints that Finn's future is with a blaster, not a lightsaber.
