Season 3 of the Mandalorian was great if you are a fan of Clone Wars and Rebels. If you are a casual viewer who’s never watched those two series then yeah it’s not for you.

Hell even The Bad Batch has been great but casual viewers and skyscreamers aren’t watching it.

It's a group of white males being heroes, of course they aren't watching it. Just wait until they make a couple of the guys gay, make one a tranny or have a woman come in to lead the group "correctly" and it will start winning awards.

Fear. Anger. Hate. Suffering.

Lol. The Force is female and pissed off. The fans must pay for this.

Seems like Disney is trying to broadcast the world they want us to live in. (ie Tomorrowland-2015)

But Disney's approach has been even worse, in that they:
a) hopped ahead 40 something years, and
b) then made series 5-odd years after the OT, and
c) also made a few shows/movies between the prequels and OT.

And not even a hint of KOTOR-era content. They're clamoring to fill in the current Rise of the Empire -> Galactic Civil War -> New Republic -> First Order Threat timeline and no one asked them for it.

Mara Jade is the only EU character we need in this sort of situation. Just like how Din Djarin should've been Boba Fett all along, it would've been hella compelling for Elsbeth's character arc to have been Mara Jade's story.

IDGAF about her EU storyline, and I'd prefer if they don't bring her in just to be wifey to Luke.

Disney has done every stupid thing with this franchise I thought they would.

Barriss Offee is from before Disney’s ownership of Lucasfilm/Star Wars. She was briefly shown in Attack of the Clones and was an important part of Ahsoka’s story in Clone Wars.

I seem to recall people getting very pissed about Omega, so we had skyscreamers from the other side on this one.

Fwiw, Bad Batch HAS been great this season. I suppose it's their way of justifying the Emperor's clone resurrection. And I guess if they don't catch Omega, that explains why the Emperor's clone is imperfect.

But that's part of the issue Disney Star Wars has; if they'd have made this PRIOR to the sequels, that outcome would have made more sense, and the movies (at least that part of the storyline) would fit better.

In the long term it might reconcile the sequels and they could claim "we wanted the surprise twist", but the truth is they put some stupid shite out that nobody liked and didn't make sense, and it probably cost them a ton of money at the box office. They need to develop the story and make it coherent for the first release, not sling shite out everywhere and then try to make it fit.

The Vault? Yes, it was.

I liked the conversation between Tarkin and Hemlock. Goes a long way in explaining why this subplot wasn't known during the OT, and shows how the Emperor kept even his most favored underlings in the dark about each other. Tarkin tries to intimidate Hemlock, but Hemlock knows Tarkin doesn't have the juice to lean on him.

You also get to fight rancors. Warning it’s souls like so the combat can get frustrating if you’re not used to it.

i think you guys just need to come to grips with fact that star wars is a trash IP now and nothing from it is good anymore. at least from a tv/movie perspective.

The potential is there. All it’d take is a decent story to quickly revive it.
