Just finished the season.
I feel like there were so many plot points left open. I also really don't like how depraved the characters got on this season. Like season 1 was compelling because besides Deok-Su, there weren't really any bad guys. They were all just incredibly desperate to survive. In this season, that went out the window.
Basically everyone left over after Hide and Seek were completely irredeemable evil characters.
Like how do go we go from Sang Woo tricking Ali, in a move to save his own life. To now, hey everyone, let's murder this baby just because we could get a few extra dollars.

Season 3 fell off a cliff but still entertaining enough. And yeah no real interesting new characters. The old mom was an idiot 
And whatever American version of this show is going to suck.
Make a prequel about The Salesman or the Frontman. They were the two best characters in the show. They killed off the salesman way too early.

I’m halfway through E4 and the worst part of this show by far is the American elite group. It’s so badly acted and overly ridiculous that it completely changes the tone of the show and takes me right out of it. I’m not sure why they chose to put that in there, but surely test audiences or whatever had issues with that group. Even if it is social/political commentary, it’s just so poorly done that it’s hilarious.

One thing the show did do was show men shouldn't be competing in women's sports. The tranny was hammering people.

No idea what the brother had to do with the show. Half the season was him trying to find the island only for him to say hi to his brother.
The jump rope game seemed easy to win. If it wasn’t for sabotage it would’ve been fine.
I really can’t believe 333 tried to off his own baby. That frustrated me. In my head he was going to jump to save gi-hun. I sort of saw it when we pushed the old man down.
I was really bummed when they took out Hyun-ju. She (he?) was a straight savage.
The mom killing her son, only to hang herself was terrible. She could’ve easily survived jump rope and helped them in air squid game.

I said this about the first season as well. VIPs were just a bunch of clown-show caricatures instead of sinister elites.

Just finished up the season. All in all I enjoyed it well enough. But the quality definitely drops off as you progress through the seasons.
There were a lot of absurdities in this season for sure. And some were frustrating as frick (such as making the baby “play” the game, as mentioned throughout the thread).
And yeah the detective brother dude took up tons of screen time with very little purpose at all.
But at least I’m glad the show is finished and there was a conclusion.
In terms of Korean-ish shows like this on NF, Alice in Borderland is still FAR superior.

The VIPs’ acting is horrific. Like, distractingly bad. I’m about to fast forward through their scenes.

Haven't got to start it yet but that was by far the worst part of S1. Pretty surprised they brought them back.
Some of the worst acting ever. And one of the guys masks was so dumb he'd try to drink his wine but the nose was so big he couldn't even put the cup up to his face.

Hahah, same here. They just started wailing on him in the background and I said "what the hell did that guy do?" I also agree that they killed off most of the good characters early and the final few I had no interest in.
I finished it last night. Not great but not terrible. I think when the baby was born we all pretty much knew where the ending was going.
The awfulness of the VIPs can't be stressed enough. When the one women responded to the drunk in Mandarian and then said the joke in English, I rolled my eyes. It was so bad. I was hoping the detective would have gunned them all down.
Who was the family at the airport at the end? Also 456 family? He had two kids?
How the hell does the coast guard not see a giant arse boat filled with mini vans leaving an island? Not even on radar? Hah.
I'm sure I will give the US version a go when it comes out, but I'm expecting it to be terrible.

This show ended so bad, it's like it wanted to chase GoT for how not to finish a series.
It was so pointless except to pass the torch to Netflix to make it American.
