I saw this came out a couple days ago. Watching episode 1 in black & white. Cat Hardy singing in the night club kinda sucked me in.

Is the entire season released or are they dropping a single episode a week?

I see eight episodes available, I don't know if that's the whole season.

Nice. Not a huge Spider-Man guy but saw this trailer the other day on here and this looks really good. Love that you can watch it in black and white.
I would think the love that the Spider-Man Noir character got in the Into the Spider-Verse movies got had to have inspired this. That third movie needs to hurry up and come out. Those are probably my two favorite Spider-Man movies.

No advertising for it.

All the episodes dropped, I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. Amazon doesn’t really do that anymore with their top shows anymore.

Full season drop supposedly. Trying to decide whether to watch in color or black and white.

It was made to be viewed in B/W

Just finished ep1. No spoilers, but a little commentary. Set in the depression era. Has a bit of a 40s private eye film vibe like The Maltese Falcon, but with a little more grittiness. It is definitely a different feel from the recent spate of superhero films and shows. Those who know Spidey lore will recognize some names and power sets. Cage is a little long in the tooth, but he’s got the jaded hero act down. Seems like it is going to be a fun ride.

Nic cage was the voice of that character too. Was hoping they would make an animated spin-off with him but I'll 100% take this instead.

1st episode was solid. Show also has a 92%/93% split on RT, which is a rarity these days

Its actually pretty decent. I think it gets a little too far away from its noir themes at times for shots that give the audience a little too much room to breathe but so far I can easily recommend.
I would have never imagined Nicholas Cage as Spiderman, but he really kind of nails it.
Disclaimer: Ive only watched in black and white.

I just finished Blue Lights on BritBox so was looking for something else to watch, so I think this will do.

I'm 3 episodes in and I 100% agree on all points. It "flirts" with noir, it doesn't feel committed to it. I think it staying on the border between artsy noir and marvel superhero movie is going to keep it away from awards, but appeal to a broader audience.
That said, the show is decent, albeit a tad slow at parts. I'm enjoying it. I'll keep watching.

I also love how ridiculous Cage is when he's posing as someone else to gain information. The scene where he was questioning the wounded police officers was cracking me up
