I believe it. This show could go a lot more places with Clay out of the way.
I can't wait for the scene where Jax and Opie execute Clay. At least that's how I think it goes down.

I think clay runs to the cartel for help and tells them if they help him he can take over samcro again.
jax leads samcro and the niners in a fight against the cartel and myans.
clay either dies in this exchange or somehow they manage to blame everything on clay and he gets pinched and goes to the pen where otto gets revenge for luane and kills clay.
