Silo or For All Mankind

Apple TV is killing me. I got it for Formula 1 and have been sucked into watching a few of their shows. I'm blowing thru Slow Horses and Sugar. On Parmount I'm on S2 of Agency.
So I thought I'd try another show on Apple.
Silo or For All Mankind?
ETA: I also watched Widows Bay. I forgot about that one. I loved it.
Also just started Tehran.

Silo is in season 3 (5 episodes thus far). S1 was really good, S2 was really slow, S3 started slow, but is picking up quickly.
For All Mankind has 5 seasons and has been renewed for season 6. It also has a spinoff, Star City, that just finished season 1. For All Mankind starts really strong for a few seasons, then sort of goes from really good, to good, for a while - mostly due to change in the focus of events.
ETA: Severance and Widow’s Bay are the two best shows on Apple TV. Each are very different but both highly critically and audience acclaimed.

For All Mankind really fell off for me after a couple seasons. I think Silo is about to get even better (hopefully).

Silo is about to get really dark and diabolical. Especially when the reason for the Silos are given and the real history in the intervening 350 years

I watched Seasons 1 and 2 of FAM and loved it. The start of season 3 didn’t grab me and I fell off of it. I was told that season 3 was not great but 4 (and the start of 5, which was coming out at that point) were a return to form. I jumped back it at the start of summer and slogged through 3 and got through maybe two episodes of S4 before falling off again for other things. Haven’t picked it back up yet.
I enjoyed season 1 of Silo, but haven’t checked out the newer episodes yet.
I seem to have a problem with sticking with Apple shows. They have quality content but the breaks have a tendency to make me lose interest.
Severance/Friends & Neighbors- S1 great, S2 weaker but finished strong.
Tehran/Morning Show/Shrinking/Slow Horses - only watched S1 but really enjoyed all
Foundation started strong but I’ve dropped it, haven’t watched S3.
Ted Lasso has really been the only show that I stayed fully engaged during its run.
ETA: Widows Bay was great and I’m looking forward to S2, but we’ll have to see what happens when it actually comes out.

Cape Fear was a let down for me, and I will ride it out just to say I did, but not really running to finish it.

I started Silo a couple weeks ago and got bored after 2 or 3 episodes. It's one of those that milks out the story line to drag into multiple seasons what could be better done as a limited series instead. I get why they do it for revenue but it's why I'm usually skeptical of most streaming series.
There are, of course, exceptions like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, All Creatures Great and Small, and Deadwood.

I haven't seen Silo.
I have seen For All Mankind. I think it starts off great, but the further into the timeline you get, the goofier it becomes. There is a spinoff called Star City (the Soviet side of the story) that has good reviews from people here. Some have said they like it better than For All Mankind.

Interesting, you must be a book reader. I like season 3 okay so far, but I'm ready for more to happen. Bit of a slow burn.
