Took home some awards so obviously not under the radar but very underrated overall. Just a great movie with top tier acting and very very faithful to the book.



I say this one all the time on here but I say it again. I love Bond movies, and this is better than 90% of them.



All time great comedy. Dumb and witty at the same time.



Most that have seen it would agree it's a great movie, but it's still a little down on the list for most people on Kurosawa's catalog. I think it's his second best movie.

Renee Zellweger was great in "Cold Mountain". That opening scene with Kidman sitting on the porch with the rake to keep the rooster away and Zellweger simply walks up to it, grabs it and snaps the neck, then says "I hate a flogging rooster, let's put him in a pot". She owned that role from the very beginning.

"Cold Mountain" is one of my favorites.
The musical score is also great. Jack White has a role in the movie and also produced some of the music.

A ton of these are hugely popular and some were nominated for best picture I think
