I was watching Angry Joe review this. He basically said there was nothing new in this movie. That the body count was too low. That it lacked scares. Then one of his buddies said he like the Rob Zombie movies.

Thank god they didn't try to make it scary. That they focused on nostalgia and the fun aspect of Halloween. It's hard to make Michael Myers scary when we've seen him for 40 years. They wanted to focus on the fun aspects of it. I'm glad they did and completely understand why.

Was listening to a podcast review yesterday and they brought up how awesome the pumpkin reverse rotting was. I agree that was a great visual in the intro

Well that explains it then. Fans of over the top shock and gore will not like this movie.

This. Almost ruined the movie for me. But thankfully just about everything else is really well done.

Overall, a worthy sequel. One thing I always enjoyed about these movies...even without Michael, Haddonfield is a town I would love to spend Halloween in. It just oozes halloween on every corner.

Same. Him putting on the mask almost ruined it.

Laurie had 40 years to obsessively and meticulously plan for Michael’s return. She had hoped and prayed he would escape so she could kill him.

When she opened up her gun cabinet, it was a total letdown. Some shitty rifles, shotguns, a crossbow and some crappy revolvers. It was all the same shite that didn’t kill him 40 years ago.

No AR-15s? No high caliber rifles or bullets that could kill an elephant?

Major letdown.

And why would she be running around the house at the end with a gun with a huge barrel instead of one of the revolvers? Just too easy for someone to grab the barrel.

And she planned to catch Michael in the basement, but only had one exit. Why wasn't there another way out once he went down there?

And how did Michael have time to set up that extravagant display in the cop car that pulled up at Laurie Strode's house? I mean we have a light inside of cop's mouth and a lit pumpkin on the front seat. And Michael must be pretty good with GPS to know exactly how to get to Laurie's house.

H20 was much better than this one.

The Dr took him to Strodes house when they ran him over and knocked him out

The doctor was killed and the granddaughter who knew where she was going ran through the woods for a while to get to the house. Michael arrived well before she did

I thought the granddaughter running in the woods was cringe worthy. Why would anyone go in there? just run up the road, he cant chase you.

They just announced there will be a sequel. Where do they go from here?

I'm guessing Michael survives and goes on another murder spree on Halloween.
