Just got out and that was about as good of a job they could have done. Music was great. I was worried when people said it had some humor but it was really well executed humor, not forced

I loved the guitar adding to the theme.

I thought it was great. I did have a couple of issues. Myers killing a kid was not cool. And the doctor going crazy was kind of dumb.

Other than that, loved it. Ended perfectly. 3 generations of final girls taking him out. Great music. Great cinematography. I got chills with some of the shots. So much nostalgia. The crowd was great. Looked like a sold out show. One of the funnest horror movies I've ever seen in theaters. Reminded me of Scream. And there was some cheering at the end lol. I've never seen that in a horror movie. Loved it. Highly recommended. The best Halloween sequel IMO.

The retro-music was my favorite part.
John Carpenter did the music in this one. Not only did he do a great job with the classic Halloween theme, but the additional music he did was great. Felt very 80s Carpenter. Like The Fog or Prince of Darkness. It was great.

I'll let him know you don't approve. He likes to handle complaints personally.

That's the first time I've ever seen him kill a kid. They broke the rules.

I fricking loved it, the call backs to the original were great especially with Michael looking out the window and Lori was gone was sick. Not to mention the way he carved those cops' faces was just brutal.

After he killed the kid all bets were off and I thought he was killing the baby

True.

I know why they did it. They wanted to show that they weren't following the same rules in past movies. It was for shock value. It wasn't a deal breaker or anything, just kind of put me off.

If you stayed after the credits, you hear him breathing.

2 things I disliked

1 - The setup for the intro music was a swing and a miss for me.

2 - The doctor. I understand it being obsessed over something, but it didn’t quite fit the narrative of the movie.

Bonus - not sure why or who the girl was Michael killed by stabbing her through the neck.

Think it was just a random kill. Which I liked.

It felt so unnecessary. There was a little reasoning behind it in that he was responsible for taking him to Curtis. He set up the final showdown. And there was some possible mythology they kind of dove into, but it was unnecessary IMO and they should have cut the entire thing and did something else to set up the final showdown. No need for it.

H2O was not part of this Halloween universe. She had a son in that movie and here she had a daughter.....the movie was awesome. The homage to the old ones was great. The blinds at the babysitters house, the font on the credits, the doll house (Myers house), the closet scene, “do as I say”, too many too remember. Just an overall fun movie, well done, gory AF, and great if you love Halloween.

I didn’t find it that gory to be honest. Maybe I’m numb to it over the years, but it seemed very lax on the gore.

Yea I thought it was just ok. Screenplay was unfocused and all over the place, not enough build up and disappointing climax. It had its individual moments and the acting was strong. Not bad but it was a bit underwhelming considering the hype.

They apparently reshot the last 15-20 minutes of the movie.

The cheerleaders at the high school Halloween party were Hanahan High School cheerleaders, apparently one girl didn't wear her Haddonfield cheer uniform but I didn't catch it.

When he stopped at the baby crib, I was so nervous glad they didn't go there though
