They seemed to be wanted to make this “more realistic”
They did say this , But in reality, the movie was more comic book or graphic novel. This one takes itself less seriously than anyone I've seen before. So I'm fine with a sequel, so long as they keep it simple and don't try to go into too much mythology with Michael Myers. He's superhuman, we don't know why and we don't want to know why. Just have fun with the slasher aspect of the series.

He got shot multiple, 3? atleast, times this movie, 6 the first, ran over by a car, stabbed in the neck and eye, maybe more. He also has super human strength. I am sure he is still alive.

Huh? We saw him walking covered in flames in part 2 before collapsing, and he still managed to stay alive. In the final shots where the burning trap room was shown, we didn't see Michael at all. Remember at some point Laurie shot through the floor boards as well. There's all kinds of ways for him to live on.

He'll just have a few more burn scars and a few less fingers.

Part 2 has zero relevance to this arch.....It never happened

If he is still alive, they really didn’t fix any of the craziness/ludicracy they were claiming to purge from this new revival

I really hope the granddaughter still having the knife in the bed of the truck isn't a tease to the future direction.

Was that ever the claimed intention? I mean we did see him shot twice in this film, as well as hit over the head with a crowbar, and it all had virtually no effect on him. Seems like they were more intent on keeping the superhuman aspect of Myers alive than anything.

Yeah, I don't disagree with you. Not that that's a bad thing IMO. The craziness with the mythology they went into with other sequels still has a chance to get fixed, though. I'm fine with Myers being an unstoppable force. It's in the spirit of traditional slasher movies. I just don't want all of the dumb mythology they go into as to why.

Obviously, it wasn't. I thought I saw an interview where the creators said they wanted it to be more realistic. I could be wrong. But that's not what we got with this one. Again, not that that's a bad thing. I liked the way they handled Myers in this one.

I can take some of his retard strength and roll with it in this one

But if he survives the fire at the end this is nothing different than Jason Vorhees again, which I was hoping this one was going to get away from

I really liked it. Just some thoughts:

-He went out of his way to kill people in this movie which is not something we've seen much of. The lady with the baby, the girl that closes the blinds, heck, he could've drove off and not killed the kid(which shocked me that he did) but he didn't. Maybe it had been so long he just wanted to kill regardless of who it was.

-Loved the Easter eggs, Michael knocking Laurie off a balcony only to turn back around and she be gone, just like him at the end of the first movie. The granddaughter running around knocking on doors like Laurie did, except people actually came out to help the granddaughter.

-Didn't see the post credit scene but sounds like we may get another movie.

-Was expecting the granddaughters boyfriend to be killed but we never see him again after the dance.

So I saw it last night and thought it was good

Do y’all think the doctor had something to do with the bus crash and subsequent release of Michael? I just found that pretty odd

Also, great job killing the journalists early. I was thinking they’d be killed eventually but glad they got it out the way

This movie solidified for me that I can’t stand Judy Greer.

So why didnt she just move from Haddonfield? Surely one of her two husbands made that suggestion.
