He should start the continuity with Reeves' Batman (if they can get a commitment from Pattinson), and his Superman and go from there.

Batman and Superman should obviously be the lynchpins of the universe. But what made Marvel so successful was all of the lesser known characters working out, as well.

A Levi, Cavill, Rock movie as Shazam, Superman, Black Adam could have be a good time. PLUS bringing in Mamoa as LOBO, that could have been epic.

I'll stay consistent, I am glad everyone is out. It was time for a full reboot.

I feel like superhero fatigue is here to stay and only going to get worse, so I think they definitely missed striking the iron while it was hot if they are eyeing a new 10-year plan.

Mamoa as Lobo would be the shite. Especially R rated. Gunn behind a Lobo film would be kickass.

I dont Think the MCU works without a string central cast. Iron Man and Captain America thread the big ensemble movies together.

That should be Batman and Superman. Batman doesn’t have to be super dark and brooding all the time. The animated Batman wasn’t and this a top end iteration:

Don’t think so, reason he’s not recasting TSS is because TSS and PM are his creations so that’s likely why he’s sticking with them plus they were both very well received by fans.

Correct, agreed.

I think the Pattinson Batman is a good start if they keep it, but I don't think Pattinson wants to play Batman for a long period of time.

But Young-ish Batman and Superman in their first few years of being Heroes and the implications for the World is a pretty good start imo.

After seeing Elvis I think Austin Butler would be a pretty good choice for the role. He might be a little old for what Gunn is going for as he's in his early 30s I believe.

Gunn and Reeves have both stated Pattinson Batman will stay separate from whatever Gunn is building. Gunn's said stand-alone franchises are still gonna remain.

So no Peacemaker Season 2? If that happens, I will never watch another DC movie again. Well, actually, I may never watch another DC movie again because they suck, and I am sick of superhero movies. But Peacemaker was the exception to the dreck.

That's a dumb decision. My guess is they don't want this to be the case but Pattinson and Reeves don't want to commit, and The Joker offshoot obviously has to be its own thing.

Huh?

If this rumor is correct it all but guarantees not just Peacemaker Season 2 but a safe role for Cena in the universe.

Cena, his wife(who played Emilia Harcourt in season 1), Viola Davis are all sticking around.

Personally, I get it 100%. For both sides. Reeves would have to compromise his vision or Gunn his to make it fit, or just have a really awkward tonal shift between iterations.

Reeves Batman is not really built for anchoring an extended universe IMO. Especially if the tone and feel of Gunn's DCEU is more similar to Peacemaker/Suicide Squad.

Reeves is grimdark and going for a hyper-realistic vibe, Pattinson Bat would feel almost like self-parody in a room with Peacemaker, Robbie, and a talking shark.

It's a dumb decision because Patman was awful.

The worst decision is dropping Cavil.

I didn't find Rock's Black Adam very exciting. I was pumped to see the movie, but outside of Dr. Fate and the Superman cameo it was pretty bland.

I would give Rock another chance though. Would really like to see him and Levi toghether.

True or not, given Shazam and The Flash movie arent even out yet, he's gonna have to say that.

Would be a terrible well-poisoning to tell audiences that two yet-to-be-released movies arent even worth bothering with cause we don't believe in them.
