Time will tell, but we already know The Rock and Cavill are out, The Flash is gone. WW is scrapped(with no firm commitment to Gadot), tons of bad blood with Ray Fisher and his allegations toward WB. Really the only one on that list that would be a shock is the one we've talked about which is Levi. But his latest film seems to be in development hell and they keep bumping and recutting it.

If this rumor is correct it all but guarantees not just Peacemaker Season 2 but a safe role for Cena in the universe.
Cena, his wife(who played Emilia Harcourt in season 1), Viola Davis are all sticking around.

Amanda Waller, who is basically a more morally grey version of Nick Fury for DC/Gunn in The Suicide Squad/Peacemaker.
Would also be weird to do a season 2 without her considering one of the big final act moments is her daughter outing her and Task Force X(Suicide Squad group) to the world. Setting Waller and Task Force X up as more direct antagonists. As opposed to just powerful and sketchy behind the scenes puppet masters.

DC is already a mess. Did you see Black Adam? WW2? Flash is months away and already a disaster. They have maybe 1 good movie out of every 4-5, and even that requires grading on a curve (Wonder Woman 1 had a stupid villain and final showdown, Matt Reeves Batman was way too long and had its own messy finale). Burn it down!

That's 30 minutes longer than I got through 90% of the DCEU films...So Gunn is already a big step up

It could be that Gunn and company want to start fresh with a younger group of actors. If they want to try to emulate the early MCU success that would make sense. You'd want actors who could still be playing the roles 10 or more years down the line if you anticipate a storyline unfolding over time.

I like Gunn, so I may just Be soured by him fricking Witcher and not even keeping Cavill.

Ok, I remember her from Suicide Squad. So Peacemaker and company vs. Task Force X in Season 2? Hope the come up w/ a better villain. I thought they should have kept the task force leader butterfly guy. Also, bring back Polka Dot Man!

My favorite DCEU film besides TSS, though. Saw it twice in theaters.
