I don’t think they’re going anywhere necessarily but there is probably shared universe fatigue. The MCU lasting through end game is just not going to be repeatable by Marvel or anyone else.
I think they’d be better off going to more contained stories instead of everyone going in to see how it connects to the next movie

How about they just shelve the DC movies for a while. It's not working and hasn't worked. People are burnt out on super hero movies, even Marvel movies. Just focus on something else. It's not going to work out with these movies.

His movie bombed, reports WB is tired of his shite, he is making petty public gestures like unfollowing them and the movie on social media, refusing to do anymore promotional blitzes. Believe me, I would love if studios went back to original blockbusters and less or no emphasis on superhero’s or cinematic universes. Fact is though, superhero films are one of the only types of movies still pulling in big money post Covid. Spider-Man is the highest grossing post Covid film, Doctor strange made almost a billion, Black Panther the fifth highest grossing film this year, The Batman 6th, Thor 7th. Even the shitty Venom sequel was the 7th highest grossing film last year.
Unfortunately superhero movies remain as one of the few film genres audiences will show up to theaters for if it’s half way decent and interesting, so studios are gonna chase them. Especially the one with the DC comics brand at their disposal

Cavill is perfect as Superman.
You could have Affleck or Keaton as Batman.
Keep Gadot as WW.
You have 3 grizzled superheroes that are your IP. Then you bring in younger actors/more obscure characters to build out your universe.
Scrapping everything just blows and while I like Gunn, no way in hell he can build a world. It will be a complete parody.

I dont really have a personal problem with the Rock, other than I think he seems like a bit of a diva bitch these days with the reports of him refusing a Shazam cameo or fight cause he thinks its beneath him, refusing to have his character appear as a true villain, and only allowing his character to fight Superman.

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I like Gadot as WW. That travesty of a movie (WW1984) was DOA with that script.

IMO, other than Heard, Fisher, and Miller, I think you could work with all the main superheros if Gunn wanted to.
And maybe some of this rumor turns out false, but seems like the tea leaves also point that most of them will be gone.
