Yea if I'm Marvel Gunn being in charge of the DCEU doesn't really move the needle for me.
I mean sure he did good work with GotG at a time when the MCU needed a little bit of something a little light hearted, but he also was put in a silo where that light heartedness didn't really take over the show and the movie was able to progress the overarching MCU story at the time in a meaningful way.

Don't ge me wrong, judging from Gunn's past projects he's got the chops to do something cool. I just cannot see them copying MCU. MCU (imo) was always family friendly and accessible. The real unknown is the other Co-CEO. I don't know anything about that dude.
