Different doesn’t always mean good. Unique doesn’t always mean good. Sometimes when you try to be different, it doesn’t always work out for the better. TLJ is a prime example.

TLJ was just a really bad movie. If you took Lucas Films out of it and somehow blind tested it, people would think it was bad YouTube Fan Fiction.

She is a moron, who should still be running to fetch coffee and soy lattes for the cast and crew.

There’s no source material. We don’t have comic books. We don’t have 800-page novels. We don’t have anything other than passionate storytellers who get together and talk about what the next iteration might be. We go through a really normal development process that everybody else does. You start by talking to filmmakers who you think exhibit the sensibilities that you’re looking for.
100% lie, she is really, really dumb.

I mean, I got to say it's refreshing that she isn't doing the crybaby Rian routine of bashing fans when addressing the criticism and going to standard manager speak about what happened. Still hope she is fired.

I love that we have these amazingly passionate fans who care so much. And I know sometimes they may think we don’t listen, but we do, and I thought it was fantastic that people got that engaged

Bump for interview with JJ Abrams

Rey has a whole fan base of her own. What was the original idea behind the character?
The idea was to tell a tale of a young woman who was innately powerful, innately moral, innately good, but also struggling with her place in the world and forced to fend for herself in every way.
JJ forgot to add "innately boring".

What surprised you most in what he did?
I felt the biggest surprise was how dark Luke was.
And you are to blame J.J.
If you would have bothered to give 3 minutes of worth of lines in VII, then Rian couldn't have ruined him, dumbass.

which is constant subversion of expectation.
This is hacky an any idea anyone has ever had.
It's not clever or interesting.

They could have shot Zahn’s Thrawn Trilogy word for word and it would have been so much better than what we’ve gotten with 7 and 8.

So why Disney, why? Why throw away the EU when it was very rich and had quality.

Kathleen Kennedy is a dumb bitch and Rian Johnson can die of gonorrhea and burn in hell next to Dan Marino.

Obviously. Except for the decisions to... - Reprise the Empire and just give them a new name - Introduce a young laborer with no parents on a desert planet as the protagonist - Make the bad guys' ultimate weapon a massive spherical structure that shoots giant lasers - Have the film center around hiding a droid that carries extremely valuable information
All they did was just tell the same story with a few aesthetic changes and a worse written script.
